Dr. Lisa Renee Caso, DO

We only had 1 in-office visit so far with Dr. Caso, but ever since, she has been there for my family any time I have had a concern or question about my daughter. For example, tonight, my baby wasn't well, and she was reachable immediately, and knew exactly what to do. My little girl is sound asleep. Very appreciative of Dr. Caso-thank you!

My child was a patient of Dr. Caso. She had an extremely cursory visit (intended for a preventative care screening). She was basically told she was healthy but should lose some weight in the future. For some reason, there was then a Urinalysis test prescribed (without our approval) which of course found nothing. Later, we found we were billed for a sickness AND wellness visit (I suppose because we talked about my kid being pudgy?) which called for an additional Co-Pay, and the unneeded urinalysis was also not covered by insurance leading to an unexpected additional charge. We will not be returning and do nor recommend this practice to anyone in the region. Unethical billing practices, unnecessary screenings, and mediocre patient interactions.

Dr.Caso has a great location, small practice, and alternative vaccine schedule. However, her demeanor is not great. She rushes through appointments, doesn't offer any extra information, and dismisses concerns. We left her practice after she literally yelled at us and would not examine our son and validate our concerns. Her behavior is unacceptable, but especially for first time moms. After talking to others and reading reviews, it sounds like this is a pattern of behavior for her. This explains why her office is never that busy. If you are looking for a pediatrician, look elsewhere.

Have been seeing Dr Caso ;Since my sons birth. He now is 11. I highly recommend Dr Caso.

Dr Caso saw my two kids for several years and I loved her but, eventually the issues in the negative reviews came out....unwilling to give antibiotics to a very sick kid who ended up with a severe ear infection, berating and refusing to see my kids because I had gotten a second opinion, refusing to discuss lab work unless I came in and paid for another visit, requiring over $100 to transfer records to another ped, etc. I didn't realize how bad it was until I moved to another practice.

I was seeking Dr Caso's number and decided to read the reviews since I expected it to be higher. I had gone 3 times with my daughter in law and grand baby for the newborn visits. I have 5 adult children and a nursing background. In the many years of raising my children, I have been to enough pediatric offices- and I can say Dr Caso is an amazing doctor. I highly suggest those reading the negative reviews to understand there are always two sides to every story, as the saying goes. Dr Caso dealt with a simple issue with my grandson that the pediatrician who saw him first (she was away at the time) refused to even examine. It is called tongue tied - and it was obvious his fredulum needed to be snipped. It is a VERY simple procedure to do in the office when caught early; as a newborn. Three of my five children also had this and unfortunately it was never detected. Two of my three had to have an outpatient procedure to correct something that literally takes a few seconds and there is no… evidence of any blood or pain from it! Dr Caso addressed it in our first visit and it truly made the difference in my grandson's ability to nurse Be very careful parents how you do review physicians. I am aware of inept physicians but Dr Caso is one who listens, is very efficient and focused. She is not one to ignore a health concern. I am beyond pleased with the care given to my grandson Regarding money; there was insurance problems that caused a large bill to be incurred and the staff was extremely patient while this was resolved I give Dr Caso 5 stars!

I wanted to add a comment about the most recent review. I work in the medical field, and I know how hard it is for a practice to not be bought out by the large hospitals that are taking over our area. Dr. Caso has information in her office to educate parents. With all the new health care changes, patients are responsible for paying more then ever before. I think it's good that she lets patients know up front that they may get a bill for something. I don't think it's all about money with her, I just think she is trying to keep her practice from being bought out.... patients need to try to see things from the other side sometimes too. Dr. Caso has always been wonderful with my kids. I love that she is to the point about things. She doesn't sugar coat anything, and she tells it like it is, even when you may not want to hear what she has to say. Her staff is friendly, and helpful. I've never been in another office that is so geared towards the kids. Each exam room is fun and colorful, the… waiting room has areas for the kids to play. We never have a wait when we go, they are very efficient. Dr. Caso is quick, which some people like, and some don't. If you want a Dr who is going to run behind because they take too much time with small talk, then she isn't for you....but if you want someone who treats your child, and addresses your questions in an efficient manner, is always friendly and upbeat, then you'll love her! She isn't all about the money, but she has to keep her business from being swallowed up. My own Dr charges more for a form to get filled out then Dr. Caso does, and if I have a bill, I have to pay it to be seen just like any other office. Unfortunately healthcare isn't what it used to be, when you just had a copay.

A few things I really value about Dr. Caso include the fact that Dr. Caso appears to look at all sides of medicine (Holistic) not just "Modern" Medicine (or lack thereof). I wish all doctors had this knowledge and actually PRACTICED it. It also doesn't appear as though she has been "bought". Many people mentioned it all being about money for her, perhaps it is, but she hasn't bought into the "Lehigh Valley Health Network" scam that recently took place and still stands as an "independent" doctor. Although, there are Numerous signs in her office (multiple signs in one room) pertaining to money. One even stating that if you discuss something that would be considered to be outside of a "Well" visit conversation, that you will be also charged for a "SICK" visit and also be expected to pay the co-pay for that. So I did get a feeling to some degree that there was more to money than there should be. Her vaccination schedule is also much more appealing (not following CDC timeframe guidelines).… Neonates are being vaccinated entirely TOO early and TOO much at one time. Example: Within 24 hours of birth it is standard protocol for our Hospitals to vaccinate your newborn with the HEP B. vaccine (unless you yourself are HEP B+ this is totally unnecessary)... Dr. Caso schedules it once your child is around 18 months old- this is even early. and will tell you to be sure to let them know not to vaccinate your newborn with the HEP B in the hospital. Dr. Caso also supports non-vaccinators altogether if you choose to not vaccinate at all. With that being said, I was expecting someone who supports what she does to have a more genuine (motherly), holistic appeal. I did not get this at all. Parents (especially new parents) are looking for guidance and someone you can talk to in a prosocial way is very important. I don't get that genuine feeling from Dr. Caso. I think doctors in general forget that we do want to understand what is going on and become offended if we question something or try to understand it. Unfortunately, we (parents) are the only TRUE advocates our children have. I do not believe the doctors I have come into contact with over the past 5-10 years truly care, rather, I fell they are brainwashed into following protocols and guidelines. I haven't gotten that genuine feeling from Dr. Caso either.

I have been taking my two daughter there for a few years now. There is never a wait, she is easy to talk to and answers any questions I have, even after hours. She actually remembers details about my daughters and makes them feel comfortable. My daughters love her and her style. There is a sliding board and toys in the waiting room, the office is spotless.

I just had to write a review after seeing some of these bad reviews. I just dont understand. I have 3 children who Dr Caso has taken care of for 16 years. She has never addressed balances or payments with us ever, and believe me sometimes we have had large balances! She does not focus on money. She never over books. She schedules 1 patient every 15 minutes so you never have to wait like in every other office I have been in! She knows who I am and who my children are. And get this, after hours you can text or call her on her personal cell phone and she talks to you! Who does that!!! My kids love her. My son is over 18 and he doesn't want to leave her because he can talk to her about anything. She focuses on keeping my kids well, and never over medicates. In fact I think my son has only been on antibiotics 4 times in his whole life thanks to Dr Caso. Some of these reviews make no sense. So any intelligent person who knows Dr Caso can read between the lines and can figure… that the problem is not on Dr Caso end. My only suggestion is that you go see her and establish your own opinion! You will not regret it, especially if you are holistic minded you will LOVE her!
