I highly recommend Dr Chu. I had really bad pain from my bunion for many years. I tried different shoes and orthotics with no help. She took X-rays and showed me the bone spurs and arthritis I had in the joint. She did a joint fusion and now I’m back to my morning walks with no pain.

I beg you, do not go to her-especially for a surgery!! She did so much damage to my foot during a surgery that I can't walk on it. She isn't skilled enough to do even the simplest surgery. My foot required a specialist and I should never have trusted a foot doctor that wears four inch heels to work. Following the two surgeries she did on me, I experienced the most horrific pain imaginable. I'm now having to see a specialist at Cedars that only takes on the worst cases to rebuild my foot! I'm livid that I went through two surgeries that left my foot so damaged I can't walk on it and, only to endure what I've been told is going to be an extensive surgery to correct the mess she created! PLEASE do not go to her. I don't want anyone to go through what I've had to. To think someone with such limited skills would have such an inflated ego is beyond me.

Dr Chu is an uncaring doctor with a huge ego. Unless you have a minor foot issue, I would go elsewhere. She had the opportunity to be the first to help me with a major issue, but instead she guessed and cost me valuable time. It was only after I saw a specialist on my own that I was diagnosed with RSD in 15 minutes. I, however, wasted several weeks with Dr. Chu. She took x-rays in her office and initially said I had multiple stress fractures in my foot, which I found out later I had no stress fractures at all. She can't read x-rays. She misdiagnosed me and put me in a boot for weeks which made me worse. To find out the boot was not even needed makes me so angry that I followed her diagnosis, which caused me even more pain and also caused my undiagnosed condition to worsen. She also doesn't follow up or care to educate herself to find out any new info. on her patients in order for her to be able to help new patients in the future. She could care less whatever happened to me. Good luck… getting a return call from her too unless you call and leave multiple messages.
