Dr. Lisa Marie Colosimo, DO

Dr. Colosimo was the Anesthesiologist when I had my ablasion done yesterday at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange. I talked with her in the pre-op room prior to going in for the procedure and she was very competent, professional and personable. She asked pertinent questions to gain an understanding of my medical situation beyond just what my medical charts said. It was reasurring to talk with her, partucularly since I was a bit aprehensive about having this done. Even once they took me into the operating room when I was being asked some other pertinent info by one of the nurses, Dr. Colosimo reminded me of a pertinent medical procedure that I had previously and had told her about in the pre-op room. I forgot all about it. I know as patients we don't choose the Anesthesiologist we will have for a procedure but if it was possible I would highly recommend her. It goes without saying that competency is the most important thing in a medical provider but not all medical providers, although… competent, have good bedside manner and that goes a long way with a patient.
