Dr. Lisa Renee David, MD

Would like to hear from someone that has had vaser lipo and your results. Also, your experience with pain, swelling, etc. I continue changing my mind about the surgery. I am 5'3 weigh 155', healthy and rather active. I exercise and watch my calories, but I can't seem to get the tummy down. I have four sons ages 30 to 19. Always had a nice figure, but have not been able to get the last baby bulge off. Your thought please and any comments regarding dr. David.

Dr. David did an excellent job on my Mastopexy. I lost over 100 lbs and had pendelous breast but after Dr. David performed the Mastopexy I can get away without wearing bras depending on the "outfit." I am hoping to have two more procedures by Dr. David....a revision nose job and reduction in the size of my piercings due to heavy earrings. I am not surprised by the results.....Dr. David's performance was significantly better than the Plastic Surgeon who performed my original nose job and abdominoplasty.

All of the bad reviews... I do not see how any of them could be true about Dr. David. I had breast cancer with a mastectomy at High Point Hospital in 2004. The surgeon at High Point (Dr. James Dasher) did not do a good job with my mastectomy.I had seen Dr. Burapovong prior to my mastectomy and he said he would do my reconstructive surgery. But because I wasn't very big, not weight a lot he said I couldn't have expander put in at time of mastectomy. After my surgery Dr. Burapovong could not do my reconstructive surgery because the dr. from High Point did a terrible job. Dr. Burapovong sent me to Dr. David. I must say in a I feel like Dr. David gave me back my life so to speak... as a woman. I went through 3-4 surgeries with her plus seeing her every week for 3 months for her to inject saline into my tissue expander on my breast. Before every surgery she would pray and also would talk very calm because she knew I was so scared. She also made my nipple and tattoed an areola. She also… did some type of laser on my scar to take the red color out of it and make it lay flat. That scar was from the doctor in High Point. And yes, she did go through the same scar when she was doing my surgeries and made it look better at that time but Dr. Dasher really did a horrible job. I even had my picture made with her. She is a wonderful surgeon and I'm writing this because I looked her name up on the computer, I don't have her number in my phone. I am wanting to have a type of laser done to the araa above my upper lip. I have a few lines there and my dermatologist told me that Retin-A would not help those because they were too deep. I'm going to see if Dr. David can do that and if she does I have every bit of faith in her. After you have or after I had breast cancer and had a left mastectomy even with reconstructive surgery I kind of feel like I've got to have other things looking really good. That's just me. My reconstructive breast looks great but any female whose gone through breast cancer, I think they understand what I'm talking about. But I think the world of Dr. David and have all trust in her abilities. So... I know I am not the only person she has done a wonderful job on and has taken time with.

Dr David is one of the kindest, most professional Christians I have ever met. We came from S. Carolina for surgery because of a very severe skull problem that could not be taken care of there. Dr. David came back from Christmas vacation early so that we could have our surgery. If you've got a minor or cosmetic problem please dont waste her time. Her skills are for people that really need surgery

I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation performed by Dr. David. My scar was way too high on my abdomen and the belly button was ugly! My breasts were not what I wanted, very unhappy with end results. I had to save MORE MONEY for three years!! I now have a low thin scar, pretty belly button & full, unsaggy breasts without all the scars that Dr David wanted to do! Please think twice before you spend your hard earned money.

Dr. David is fantastic! She is knowledgable and compassionate. Her work is beautiful.

Dr. David did a number of procedures on me, face, eyes, abdominoplasty...etc. I had smoked two packs of cigarettes a week, I quit cold turkey after my first visit with her. I never smoked again. Dr. David told of the thousands of surgeries she had performed in France, as she said; one after another. I had a really bad scar under my chin from a car accident many years ago, she assured me she knew everything she needed to do, to my face and chin to really fix it. I was very self conscious, because the scar was up to my jaw bone and on both sides of the scar it caused a big dip. This dip was so noticable I would hold my hand under my clin as much as possible to hide it. All the work she did on me was not acceptable. She pulled the right side of my mouth down, I can't close my eyes totally, I can't wear mascara on my lashes now. I had the abdominoplasty in the hospital with a one night stay. I left the hospital with my husband the next morning with a high temperature 103. Dr David told my… husband to call back if it went to 104 and bring me back. I lived three hours away. I do not remember leaving the hospital, I do not remember anything for over a week. My temperature stayed 103.9, my husband kept giving the medicine that was prescribed, he didn't have a clue what was going on, only knew what they had told him about the temperature, and giving the meds as prescribed. We had always been so healthy he didn't know anything about what was going on. I barely remember my first visit back with Dr. David. She said everything was good. A friend visited me and I showed her my surgery area, she told her husband how it looked, he said that is gangrene, tell her to go back to my Dr. quickly. I did go next day. A nurse came in looked at my surgery area and hurried out of the room, Dr. David came in and cut some of the black tissue out. Dr. David told me what I would have to do in the big hole in the bottom of my incision, I had to treatment two times a day for months.Each time I went back she cut out more of the black dead tissue. I had a flap of skin on my waist she was to fix, My Lord! she took my flesh off on both sides of my hips. One side was all she was suppose to repair. I have very small hips, now I am straight no waistline no curve in! She ask me why I didn't tell her when she marked me, I said "I do not remember you marking ne, I was already sedated. I made an appointment with the head of plastic surgery there to let him see what had been done to me, he made a few grunts said it was good, even said my eyes were good. He sent me a bill for seeing me which I paid. Dr. David got very angry at me for "going to her boss". I went to a top Plastic Surgeon, he said it was bad work, and ask me "why I went to this Dr." I did not give her name. I told him she was a professor at the medical school and surgeon at the hospital also less expensive than any of the Plastic Surgeons I had checked with; he said "you should know you get what you pay for". He quoted me a price to fix everything which I am planning on doing. I also got two other opinions, they were in agreement with the other Plastic I had went to. Dr. David gave a deposition in an unrelated case to her surgery. The medical notes she had was not correct, dates were wrong, she even had that she had put breast implants in me. That was a real joke, as I have large breast and had asked about breast reduction. She also said I was probably smoking and that caused the "infection" gangrene. That was a total lie. She was still angry at me and it truly showed in her deposition. It did not do any damage to me, actually helped me without meaning to. I use to think that I should have sued her, but it is ok for me that I didn't. I learned my lesson well! I'm still paying for that mistake I made. Do your research.

Dr. David performed an otoplasty on our child. We chose her due to a former Baptist Hospital employee referral. Her bedside manner is awful. I am not sure she even likes children. Considered choosing different surgeon but the results are amazing! We moved to a new town and our new physician was very impressed with the surgery. Nursing staff was terrific! After care phone line was awful. My son was having some complications and it was nearly impossible to get through to someone. I was routed to many different people. Never spoke to Dr. David. Bottom line skilled surgeon just don't expect any warmth from her.

Pre-birth appointment after we learned our child had a cleft lip & palate was moderately beneficial, mostly because of nurse providing info, but expected much better when she could examine child & defect after birth-but it was worse. She gave us no info about extent of defect, what to expect or do; didn't seem to want to answer our questions. No mention of others on cleft team or when we would meet them. Very dissatisfied. Sought & went with another surgeon & team, many of whom we met at initial visit & were much more forthcoming.
