Lisa R. De La Fuente, CNM

Lisa received her Masters degree from University of California, San Francisco in 1997 and has been providing full-scope midwifery care since that time. Her first job out of midwifery school was in a community health center and hospital in Chicago attending both home and hospital births for a diverse population. After the birth of her first child, Lisa returned to the Bay Area. She has worked in Bay Area hospitals since her return. Lisa is passionate about providing care to women of all cultural and economic backgrounds. Fluent in Spanish, she is committed to providing culturally sensitive midwifery care to our Latina population in Marin and the surrounding area. Lisa truly believes that women-with support, guidance and the opportunity to make choices about their care-can find and appreciate their own internal strength during the birth process. She is grateful for the opportunity to be present for the building of family and community.
