Dr. Lisa Knight Flarey, DO

Beautiful office, friendly staff, knowledgeable and caring providers.

I have had Dr. Flarey as my family physician for over 7 years. I moved away from the area, but have kept her as my physician or over 7 years. Due to me getting older and living close to Columbus and my family living in Dayton, I will be finding a new physician closer to me. I will miss Dr. Flarey, though, as she has given me excellent care. I never have to wait more than 5-minutes before I am seen. Her staff have been wonderful--professional, polite, caring, which includes the two Physician Assistants. I would recommend Dr. Flarey to my family members, therefore, I recommend her to anyone looking at having her as their physician.

Like other reviewers have said I seriously question whether she and her staff care about their patients. Their nurse practitioner is very rude, and gives the impression that she couldn't care less. This is a practice where they are in it for the money, and not for the care of their patients. Do not go here.

She would not accept me as a new patient based on my credit rating. What happen to doctors getting into the field because they care about people. I have full medical insurance. I find this pathetic.

After taking the Depakote prescribed by Dr. Flarey, I had a "textbook" allergic reaction. I spent the next two weeks in and out of her office having numerous blood tests done. After doing some research on the drug independently, I asked (during every visit) if it could possibly be an allergic reaction. She and her colleagues denied that was a possibility. Finally, after three weeks of misery and inconclusive blood tests, I just stopped taking the medicine and was fine.She had also prescribed citalopram for me and then left the practice and moved to Zanesville with no notice. Again, it took over a week of phone tag and frustration for her (former) office to sort it out and inform me that she had moved to a new office. Then they would not give me her new contact information. I'm not sure if I was more frustrated with her for leaving the practice without notifying me or with her former practice for giving me the run-around and forcing me to go through withdrawal.

gave her a second chance after a first visit was not productive. second visit just a meaningless as the first. for an annual physical she never listened to my heart - i have heart issues, didn't listen to my lungs, check my reflexes - only checked my ears. and for bloodwork only checked for cholesterol. the poorest second physical i have ever had. will never return and will let everyone know why.i had to give and overall rating so a one was a low as i could give.

Dr. Flarey is an amazing doctor. She takes the time to listen to her patients and understands when patients need to talk about stress that they have in their lives. She is caring, knowledgable, and has wonderful bedside manner. She is amazing!
