Beware. Unethical and narcissistic. Overbooks her clients and fraudulently bills. Doesn’t care about her patients.

I have been a patient for over 10 years and believe Dr. Halpern is amazing. She takes the time to listen, offer suggestions, and is available if I am really struggling.

I've been going to this practice for years. I've always paid and been more than amicable. Today, as I'm waiting to be seen via video, I get a call from the office coordinator. She told me my appointment was yesterday, not today and that they are "downsizing" the practice and won't be seeing me anymore. First off, I know my appointment was today. When I make an appointment, I verify it twice as I write it in my calendar. I faxed in my paperwork yesterday, so why didn't I get a call then if I supposedly missed an appointment. Now they will charge me a missed appointment fee? I think not! Why on earth would they tell me I missed an appointment when I did not? Then she said she wanted to reschedule my "missed" appointment. Are you kidding me? You just told me you are kicking me out of the practice, for no reason I might add, and then you want to bilk me out of another office charge on top of the so called missed appointment fee? And I have done nothing to get removed from this practice… after going there over 5 years now. Never go here. Find someplace that is more compassionate!!

For years I’ve been on ambien and she was successfully able to wean me off it and helped me find alternative ways to sleep. She’s helped me through some really dark times. Even after hours she was there for me.

Does not care about her patients. Just a number. Go somewhere else, please!! I did and what a difference !!!!

Medical license is on probation!

I've been a patient for over a year and have never met her in person, she only accepts appointments over a webcam. She doesn't listen, won't read notes or paperwork from previous Dr.s. Doesn't answer her personal emergency line and keeps the voicemail box full so you can't leave voicemails. Front desk hardly answers the phone. Difficult to get anything to happen if you need your prescription sent anywhere different. Not accepting ADHD patients all of a sudden. Her explanation was that the medications are bad for you. Go somewhere else, too much of a headache.

I have been seeing Dr. Halpern for about 15 years. She is a great listener and has useful suggestions. She has always been empathetic while remaining professional. She is a very good Doctor and her staff is always helpful, they are punctual in returning my calls if needed.

Dr. Halpern does not care about her patients' wellbeing. She refuses to call or fax in prescriptions, even under exceptional circumstances, and seems to feel that forcing her patients to go through medication withdrawl is a good way to teach them to plan better. She cannot keep track of patient information, including important facts like which medication they are taking and in what amount.
