Dr. Lisa Catherine Kates, MD

I had been to several urgent care and dermatology offices for 4 months. Things were getting worse. Dr. Kates was the first one that asked if I traveled outside the country and immeditately know what was going on. Dr. Kates explained everything in detail and allowed me to ask all my questions. I am eternally grateful.

This is my first treatment with Dr. Kate for filler and botox. First, the time she took with me was fantastic. We went over all my concerns and I never felt rushed. Then the treatments...I've had several botox and fillers treatments with plastic surgeons that I thought were really good. Dr. Kate's were better than good. She is magic with a needle, I had no numbing nor did I need it. It was painless! I didn't bruise as I usually do because of her gentle, precise technique. The result was terrific. I will never go anywhere else. I can't say enough. I'm totally thrilled I found her. I feel so lucky and also relieved to have a go-to Doctor to make me look better when I need that. She's just the best!

BEWARE- One day I showed up for an appointment and was told I had a no show fee for an appointment I cancelled. The fee was $35- I had cancelled the appointment and was trying to convey that message to the staff. I walked out of the office after an attitude from the staff. This was months ago. I continue to get a bill with $10 added on every month. I have called this office every month to dispute the charges and no one seems to care. I have also documented every conversation and took notes on every bill and sent it to the office, again no one calls me back or seems to care. EXTREMELY predatory practices.

Had an assistant to give news the biopsy was positive and just the typical Script for what to do. Took brochure and did own research on procedure their brochure supported. One year later still wonder if something less severe than major cutting up my nose would have worked so not going back.

I made an appointment and the first girl was very nice. (Sorry I don't remember her name) I called my husband to let him know when it would be and it didn't work for his work schedule. I called back and spoke with Kim. She was rude to the point that I found myself hanging up on her and then calling back to cancel the appointment.

During several office visits, Dr Kates and her staff were friendly, efficient, and answered every question I had. Staff asked repeatedly if I needed anything. Dr Kates made some recommendations regarding treatment, explained the pros and cons in detail, and has the most gentle touch. During a somewhat painful procedure, she asked repeatedly if I needed a break. She is definitely my dermatologist of choice.

frankly i can't speak about the doctor as i have yet to meet her. I tried to make an appointment three times. On two occasions I dealt with a very rude and rushed woman on the phone who basically told me that nothing was available for the whole week. I called the next week, got a nicer receptionist and was able to make the appointment for the same day. After downloading the paperwork and taking it to the office, I was informed AT THE OFFICE that I couldn't be seen because the Esthetician had to go to some meeting and they "just found out about it". Really?? What meeting "just happens" if it is any sort of professional meeting. I tried to reschedule and no effort was made to fit me into the schedule even as a courtesy of wasting my time. Ridiculously unprofessional, rude and incompetent staff. I only went to this place due to a social networking promotion. I can now clearly see why this operation needs to advertise on such sites as I don't perceive them as having many repeat customers!!

Dr. Kates seems to want to end your appointment as soon as possible. I saw her 3 times over the period of a month and found her to be very uppity. Instead of talking to me about my condition she told me to go to a website and read about it. Then on my second visit when I asked her a question she asked if I had gone to the website because the answer is there. Isn't that what I am paying you for??? I found most questions seem to annoy her and she seems to be in a hurry to end each visit even though no one is waiting in the waiting room. Bedside manner needs a lot of work. If I hadn't asked on my own how to best treat my condition, I really don't think she would have told me.

I have known Dr Kates for years. She is an excellent doc. She cares about her patients and she has a great staff
