Lisa Knowles, DDS
Dr. Knowles grew up in Alma, Michigan. She attended Alma College and then pursued her doctorate of dental surgery degree at the  University of Michigan Dental School. She is married, has two children and lives in Charlotte. She is active in the community and enjoys giving back for the greater good of the area. She believes she stands apart from other dentists because she had vast experiences prior to coming to this area. Dr. Knowles was selected to complete a General Practice Residency after dental school at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital. While there, she was trained by University Hospital oral surgeons, anesthesiologists, endodontists, and pediatric dentists. This broadened her clinical skills and gave her a deeper understanding of how to treat medically compromised patients. She was an associate dentist for several years following her residency training with three separate dentists who gave her sound advice and introduced her to new materials, …skills and ideas. She believes there is a strong connection between oral health and overall mind, body and spirit wellness. She asks many questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of her patients' overall health and then provides dental options for treatment.
Professionally, Dr. Knowles is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Eco Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentists. Locally, Dr. Knowles has served on several committees including Charlotte Step-By-Step, Charlotte Can Do!, The Charlotte Public Schools Education Foundation, and the Hayes Green Beach Business Relations Committee.
