Dr. Lisa Llanas Hagberg, MD

Dr. Llanas should not be allowed to practice psychiatry. She's insensitive, is not culturally sensitive. She triggered more panic attacks and a fight and flight response as I was trying to recover from anxiety. I agree with the review of the person who says that she will lie to you and make you think that you cannot change her. She belittled me and due to my race made me feel that I was using discrimination to get away and be a difficult patient. She took almost a week to contact my outpatient psychiatrist. If you are a person of color please exercise extreme caution if she is assigned as your doctor. She's not kind, and lacks empathy and respect. McClain hospital should not have a doctor as her being the director of the anxiety unit. It is a shame that someone with 0 skills gets to practice medicine, especially psychiatry. There's so much stigma and shame that people suffering from mental health issues experience, and having to face a psychiatrist such as Dr. Llamas is dangerous.

The worst doctor I have ever been to. She is inconsiderate, rude, and doesn’t listen to her patients needs. She seems to get joy from belittling you and making you feel small. She even triggered a trauma response in me and accused me of faking it. She may be technically trained, but she is not equip to deal with patients with mental health issues. I don’t feel my care is in safe hands. If you get assigned her request to change immediately. She’ll tell you that’s not an option to make you feel stuck, but it is. Do not let her bully you! You deserve good, quality care.
