Dr. Lisa Ann Lowery, MD

Dr Lowery took time to explain everything really well. She answered all my questions. She didn’t rush out of the room like most Doctors do. This was my first visit with her and I look forward to the next.

I tested positive for Lupus when tested at my primary docs office. I went to see Dr Lowery, i don't have lupus. Which was great, lol She asked about my medical history, took xrays, and my issues are related to degenerative disc disease. She set me up with a dermatologist for redness on my face, a sleep medicine clinic for chronic insomnia. Even though it wasn't her specialty, she took the time to give me ideas into other areas i can explore. I went to a neurologist, which is helping me. I so appreciate Dr. Lowery's help.

After reading negative review after negative review of Dr. Lowery online, I was very anxious and downright scared about a referral appointment to see her. Surprisingly, I was blown away by her, only in good ways. Of all the doctors I've had experiences with in my lifetime, which has been A LOT, Dr. Lowery was the most thorough of anyone I've ever spoken to. She was incredibly compassionate, kind, caring, and spent an incredible amount of time going through all of my issues to make sure that she could help get to the root of it all. Granted, I know this was only my first appointment with her, but I experienced nothing like the other reviews speak of. Her nurses, however, were rude and one even dropped the F-word multiple times when handing my paperwork to leave with. I was floored to hear someone in such a professional setting use such language. I highly recommend that you form your own opinion about Dr. Lowery before you let any sort of review online sway whether you do or don't… make an appointment with her. Also -- I got in quickly to see her, and my follow-up appointment with her is scheduled in great time, too.

She was very condescending and acted as though I was wasting her time if I didn't have an autoimmune process going on. I was followed previously by a rheumatologist for fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis but apparently these conditions are beneath her and do not warrant her attention. My old rheumatologist helped manage my meds and administered trigger point injections. Thus my confusion about her attitude and abrasiveness.

I have seen Dr.Lowery since my physician for almost 20 years left LRDC. It takes time to build a relationship with your physician. I have not had to wait for a long time except for once. Before you see you doctor write down on a card the things you want answered. All physicians are on a time schedule. Old time medicine no longer exist.

This doctor is very judgmental of your decisions to abide or not abide by her advice and will hold it against you for future visits. She's impossible to get an appointment with and the nurses take forever to call you back, only to be rude to you on the phone. They have poor bedside manner, you wait forever in the clinic to be seen, or you could be there for 2 hours without being seen like I was multiple times. The doctors at LRDC work together to treat their patients the same. Not helpful and doesn't care about people with chronic illness.

DO NOT GO SEE HER

Dr. Lowery has poor customer service. I was very disappointed , therefore I will not be returning. She is very unhappy with her profession.

Easily obtained an appointment. The clinic was old and dated. Dr. Lowery had extremely poor bedside manner borderline of hateful. Her staff wasn't much better. She seems like she is not happy with her chosen profession. I explained I was just wanting to ensure that I was doing everything possible for arthritis and that I did not have an aggressive type of arthritis since I had significant pain 24 hours a day that interfered with my quality of life. I also explained I did not want extra medications if not necessary. I understand pain is expected and did not want or even suggest I needed pain medication. She very quickly went through history and was almost argumentative with your version of your history and how you feel. No empathy noted at all from her. Very brisk with explanations for her assumed diagnosis with tunnel vision of that there could not possibly be anything else going on. Went through the paces for the assessment but not seriously assessing for problems. … Basically was told by her that I needed to have a PCP (which I do) and that I needed to have my screenings up to date (which they are)...not the reason I was there to see her anyway. Felt like this visit was a big waste of time and money. And I still do not actually have answers.

I have never been to a doctor that talked to me the way she did! The rudest most hateful person I have EVER met! I will never go back, I left in tears! She treated me like I was a dog.
