Summary
Immediately following dental school, she opted to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. Such residencies are designed to refine and enhance a dentist's clinical skills and scientific knowledge base. Upon realizing her affinity for working with younger patients, Dr. McGriff-Metz then completed a two-year specialty program in pediatric dentistry at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, where she was also a chief resident.
Dr. McGriff-Metz has been in private practice since 2004 and has been awarded Diplomate status, or board certification, from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Before relocating to Houston in 2008, Dr. McGriff-Metz served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the undergraduate pediatric department at Temple University’s School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Currently, Dr. McGriff-Metz is a part-time faculty member in the postgraduate pediatric dentistry program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at …Houston.
