Worst dr I have ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with. Run away if you are her patient, it would be best for your health.

Worst "dr" i ever had. I would rather die then come in on this place again. (SCRIPPS EMERGENCY) PLUS: She needs to make sure her Co Worker, a "neurologist" make his money as well.. So she simply CANCEL MY RIGHT TO DRIVE until I get cleared by her friend "doctor" Now, I cant support my family and myself. Maybe you could send half of your check or your nurses check to help out.

My husband went to Scripps Memorial La Jolla for help because he was having difficulty using his arms and legs for basic, everyday things. It was a fast, steep decline for someone who until that point was in reasonable shape, and not long before that served in the military. This was essentially a last resort, and we decided to go after he was almost totally unable to use his legs for about two weeks. Enter Dr. Lisa M. Morikado. She immediately seemed more annoyed than concerned, which was honestly pretty baffling to us at the time. She had no interest in running any tests or imaging - we had to specifically ask that she do so because what she apparently wanted to do, was nothing. Things got even worse when she told my husband she thought he was lying about his symptoms and condition. She went on to rush us out of the ER with absolutely nothing accomplished, other than her telling us to follow up with primary care. Lisa Morikado doesn't think that the sudden inability to… use one's legs warrants a spot in a hospital bay. The same minute I left my husband's bed to go get a snack at the cafeteria, Morikado went in to tell my husband that he didn't need to be there, and he was getting discharged. It's almost like she has extensive experience avoiding liability for negligence. We were exhausted, defeated, and realized we weren't going to get any meaningful help, so we left. At the time we lived on a third floor with no elevator. I was pregnant and did my best to painstakingly help my husband up the stairs one at a time. It took about 20 minutes and was agonizing for him, even though he was mostly supporting himself with me and the handrails. Conclusive diagnostics would have been nice. Being treated with basic human dignity would have been better. We received neither from Dr. Morikado. Sadly, I'm not the first person to wonder if race played a predominant role in what occurred here. What's even sadder, is that if other reviews are accurate, the patient liaison might not help you either. What a sad, sad way to treat someone. Doctors have an incredible power - that is the power to help people. In my opinion, it's perfectly ok for a doctor to think that their patient is feigning or exaggerating injury. The problem is when doctors refuse to treat a patient on account of that opinion. Think about that. We all have inherent biases, and one way doctors can avoid them in medicine is to have standards and run the same tests on every patient based on the symptoms they describe, regardless of personal opinions. That's not what happened here. My husband is now permanently disabled. He's a runner and can't run - he's a computer programmer and can't type. I want to thank you for doing next to nothing and treating him like he's subhuman. Thank you.

My experience with Dr. Morikado was overwhelmingly negative. In a nutshell she was callous and dismissive. I left the ER will little to no help, still in pain, with no diagnosis. Maybe my insurance wasn't good enough for her to care about doing her job.

I checked in about 4AM AM and was out about 6AM with my bandaged foot, crutches, and my Rx for antibiotics and pain meds for the stupid predicament I found myself in. I was impressed with the doctor's bedside manner and attentiveness. I appreciated the friendliness and competence of the doctor and staff.

She didn’t listen nor take care of the problem. No antibiotics were given nor and blood test taken. Worse doc I’ve ever had at Scripps!

Scripps ER at 3:00 AM. Dr Morikado treated my wife while a firestorm of drunks, a stabbing victim, and a car roll over went on around us and she remained calm, was compassionate and gave my wife excellent care.

I'm in love with Dr. Morikado, I would injure myself more often if I knew she was working. She stitched my chin up around 4am. Very professional, so awesome and very hot!! Thanks Doc!!
