Dr. Lisa Caroline Myers, DO

I wanted to get into this practice for 4 years based on the favorable Internet reviews, but now that I am a patient, I am seeing some serious failures of service. For one thing, Dr. Myers is chronically late. I once waited over an hour for her - and this was for an 8 am appointment, too - and finally left because I could wait no longer. I now see her PA (who is usually on time), but the staff follow-through is abysmal. I recently had to call 4 times to get a prescription sent to my pharmacy, twice to get a referral (they never sent that referral out & I ended up going through another doctor), and I am still waiting on a fax they were supposed to send to a doctor's office last week. There are other issues, too - miscommunication being chief among them. And the problem with this is if I have a question about something discussed at an appointment, I can't telephone for clarification - they tell me to make another appointment. And the miscommunication issues can be quite… serious - what medications are being prescribed and how to take them, for example. I am not an idiot and neither is the PA, so how is it we walk away from the same appointment with radically different interpretations of what was said and what was decided? This office is convenient for me, and I do like Dr. Myers, but I will most certainly be relying on more specialists, particularly for major or life-threatening medical issues.

She is a fabulous doctor

Dr. Myers is a wonderful doctor. She monitors my HRT. Which is for TG/TS patients. She displays a caring and competent attitude and I feel confident that she will take care of me. The people in her office, receptionists, not so much. Their communication is very short and could at least act like they care you are there.

Dr. Myers is a great Dr but each time I go I have to wait at least two hours. Once I waited for 3 hours with my husband. She triple books time slots and yes she does spend time with you and answers all of your question but by the time she gets to you you're too infuriated to talk. I like her staff except her receptionist. I am not going back to her! And you can't make an appointment for the next day or so. It has to be weeks in advance. If you want an apt for the next day or two, you have to call that morning.
