Dr. Lisa Jo Shives, MD

I have never been treated as poorly by any doctor or drs office as I was here. She has a staff of young people who are not professional in their dealings with patients. Her sleep technicians are home grown vs. having formal training. Worst of all, the doctor ignores patient requests for help with medication changes or assistance with machine. I subsequently went to another provider, and the difference was night and day. She missed one of my diagnoses completely. The worst part is being ignored when you need something from Shives. It was a huge disappointment. They are happy to take your money the minute you walk in the door, but when you need help later, forget it.

Dr. Shives diagnosed my sleep apnea--I had NO idea I had this condition. Using the CPAP is changing my life--my long lost energy is returning. D. Shives has the BEST bed-side manner of any Doctor I have ever been to. Her clinic's bedrooms are decorated to make you feel at home. Her staff is excellent. If you have problems with sleep and live in the Greater Chicago area, I highly recommend Dr. Shives.

Dr Shives only recommends CPAP thearapy for sleep apnea. So if you have sleep apnea and don't want or can't handle CPAP, then she is not the doctor for you.
