Dr. Lisa M Slimmer, MD

It is both a total nightmare to ever even practice with this physician & also her immaturity is absolutely intolerable. I had practiced with Dr. Slimmer as a late-teenager when I first began to see her. Not only did she never conclude at a correct diagnosis that even a first yr medication student could but also continuously bullied for very sensitive information when I even told her I prefer not to be placed on any controlled substances. If there is one doctor in this world I would not see (nor have any of my family see) this doctor falls within that category more than perfectly.

Our daughter was a patient of Lisa Slimmer for a number of years. I'm not a medical doctor but I'm of the opinion that Slimmer turned our daughter into a dysfunctional person by prescribing various meds, the worst of which was an unusually high dose of Klonopin, which appeared to cause a severe addiction in my daughter. I met Lisa Slimmer once, during one of my daughter's sessions. She impressed me as being rude, arrogant and cold. My daughter's dependence to the meds Slimmer prescribed to her became apparent. My daughter continued in a downward spiral. After about 6 years of treating my daughter, Lisa Slimmer just dropped her as a patient. My daughter's addiction to Slimmer's prescription drugs remained and she scrambled to find some kind of substitute to feed the addiction(s) that Slimmer, in all likelihood, had created. My daughter died this past summer. I write this review because I want people to know what my daughter and her parents experianced at the hands of one psychiatrist.

A great Psychiatrist with a lot of knowledge, compassion, and understanding. I highly recommend.

I saw this doctor for years. She jumps to conclusions and she hates having responsibility that involves time and work, especially if outside the allotted time for an appointment when she isn't getting paid. Finally, I was attacked in my home by someone I knew, who accused me of having harmed myself. It was quickly determined that I was attacked after my the bruises appeared all over my head and back, but she had already concluded her decision. Within three weeks of the incident, without speaking to me, I was sent an email that she will no longer see me as a patient as the problem was "more work than I can handle"; all care including medications were abruptly ceased.
