Dr. Lisa Annie Spurlock, MD

Help me, please.

Doesnt listen to her patients concerns at all. She just pushes drugs and court orders. She is absolute trash!

I don't normally bother commenting on websites but when I saw all of the two or three word negative reviews it looked like the work of one angry patient, so I though I would at least add my one HONEST opinion. My partner saw her first and on a number of occasions I attended sessions with her. Dr. Spurlock was great explaining the medical aspects of mental health in a way that I could understand. When my partner was in the hospital, Dr. Spurlock checked up on her constantly to make sure she was ok, and even made herself available to talk to both of us outside of appointments and even would see us in her office on her days off. There is nothing slick or fancy about her or her office, she is just a good therapist and a good person which I think counts for a lot more. People are complaining that it's hard to make an appt with her - that would be because she is constantly booked with patients who WANT to see her. Oh, and there are no sex toys just lying around her office either.

I've seen Dr. Spurlock for many years, and she has made such a positive difference in my life! Dr. Spurlock is caring and committed to the concept of mind body wellness, and addresses the whole person.She spends so much more time than any other doctor I've ever seen helping me coordinate my health.Many psychiatrists only see patients for 15 minute increments and just try to manage any problems with medications. Dr. Spurlock truly listens and thoughtfully helps me work through things in my life.Her office is restful, and her office staff help me with difficult billing questions. On my birthday her office staff even made me a special birthday candy and card! What a great experience Dr. Spurlock's office has been!
