Dr. Lisa Strunk

Dr. Strunk is a dual trained specialist in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry.  She graduated from Creighton University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.  Shortly thereafter she entered the residency program in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she was on the Cleft Palate Team.  She completed the residency and obtained her first Masters degree and Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1984.  Dr. Strunk practiced for 8 years and then was accepted into the St. Louis University Orthodontic Program.  She received her second Specialty certificate and Masters degree in Orthodontics in 1994.
Dr. Strunk is currently an adjunct professor in the Pediatric Dentistry Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  She also served as an adjunct Professor in the Orthodontic Department at Southern Illinois University in 1993 and 1994.
Dr. Strunk has given lectures on interceptive orthodontics to several dental …associations in Nebraska, Missouri and Illinois.  She has been a speaker for parenting classes at Bergan Mercy and Methodist Hospitals.  She enjoys speaking to mother and toddler groups and schools.  She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and Orthopedics, the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.  She is currently on the Dental Assisting Board of Iowa Western Community College, is past-president of the Omaha Orthodontic Study Club and is past-president and secretary of the Nebraska Society of Dentistry for Children.
Dr. Strunk and her husband have three daughters.
