Dr. Lisa Jill Uri, MD

So rude

Dr Uri is smart, savvy, engaged, and dedicated. She is a well-rounded woman with a full family and community life. She keeps herself fit and beautiful, making her a fine role model as well as a wonderful physician.

She is horrible

Dr. Uri was recommended to me by my doctor who was leaving the US to return to Canada. As he said, he'd gone to med school to practice Medicine, not insurance paperwork. As a complex case, I require more than the average 10 minute check up. I require med management for a number of issues. He assured me Dr. Uri was all about the patient. Years later, while I miss my previous doctor, if he returned, I might just opt to stay with Dr. Uri. She takes the time to learn more about an area than most GP would if she has a patient that falls into a certain category. For instance, with an aging population and an increase in diabetes, Dr. Uri took the classes a certified dietician would, because many insurance companies don't cover dieticians. That's the kind of the care she exemplifies. If your insurance company doesn't want to cover a certain med, even if you've been on it before, she's willing to battle them on behalf of you. And she has great taste in music. :)
