Dr. Lisa Whitehead, MD

Originally from Ann Arbor, Dr. Whitehead attended the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed pediatrics residency at the University of North Carolina and stayed a subsequent year as Chief Resident. Prior to returning to Ann Arbor in 2018 to join IHA, she worked as a primary care pediatrician in a private practice in Frederick, Maryland for 7 years where she also was Chair of Pediatrics at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Dr. Whitehead has served as the Site Medical Director at Domino’s Farms Pediatrics since 2021.



Dr. Whitehead’s clinical interests include behavior and development concerns, breastfeeding support, and preventive medicine. She seeks to partner with families to develop an ongoing relationship, using evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making to empower families in their child’s treatment decisions.

Dr. Whitehead lives with her husband and 3 kids in northeast Ann Arbor, just down the road from the practice. She enjoys spending time with her family, …especially tent camping or watching the kids swim or play soccer, and also is an amateur violinist.
