Lise E. Nigrovic, MD, MPH

Dr. Lise E. Nigrovic, MD, MPH, is a senior physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and a professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. She specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, with nationally recognized expertise in serious bacterial infections, meningitis, Lyme disease, and evidence-based approaches to diagnosing and treating acutely ill children. Dr. Nigrovic earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency and fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she also earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Widely respected for her clinical research and leadership in pediatric emergency medicine, she has authored numerous influential publications focused on improving diagnostic accuracy, reducing unnecessary testing, and advancing high-quality, patient-centered care for children in emergency settings.
