I came to Missouri Baptist so very sick that my kidneys had shut down. I had both flu and a UTI sepsis infection (The excellent team at Mo. Baptist ER found problems that had been ignored by "the hospital down the street".) Dr. Lopez and one other doctor stepped in immediately with a course of action. I was put on bags of fluid and a drip of antibiotics. Dr. Lopez had my renal numbers monitored daily for signs of improvement. We watched as the numbers drew closer to normal. I cannot begin to thank her enough for her vigilance and for her caring attitude. I am here today because of her and the excellent staff at Missouri Baptist.
