Not helpful. Did not seem to understand me. I always left sessions feeling judged and worse about myself. I would have expected more compassion, given that I have a history of trauma.

Therapist ended long-term relationship with patient after inability to resolve therapeutic impasse resulting from therapist disclosure. Therapist also made changes in therapeutic relationship after 2 years of building trust with PTSD patient, due to personal changes with therapist, and forced patient to attend classes with an outside therapist that patient expressed were re-traumatizing to patient, and told patient she would not continue to see patient if she did not attend the classes (patient dx with attachment disorder and C-PTSD)) Post therapeutic impasse, therapist told patient "life was unfair" and "there was nothing she could do", even though patient discussed several times how triggering these statements were. Therapist refused to own her own behavior that resulted in impasse. In addition, therapist filed insurance claims with Dx codes not discussed with patient.

I only gave one star because not giving a star wasn't allowed. This was the WIRST experience of my life. Very condescending. Zero respect for patient and a complete waste of time. Recommendations for our physically aggressing 5' 9" 150lb 15 year old (who we took to the ER because our family wasn't safe) included: using our neighbors as respite care, family therapy (this child has been in therapy for 13 years, and taking her out for ice cream. I've never met a worse clinician.
