Dr. Lloyd Steven Pena, MD

Came in with right back pain for the 2nd day in a row. It was unbearable, I was crying. I had a stone from the previous night ER trip but since it was too small, he would not admit me. Well guess what, I suffered another week and had to come back, be admitted because I had fluid backup, a UTI and the kidney stone was stuck. Thank god for the MD who admitted me. I had to have surgery for it to be removed and a stent placed. This could have been done earlier if he admitted me like I asked. The admitting physician was upset that I had to wait for my 3rd visit to be taken seriously.

Was in the e.r with my adult daughter. What an amazing doctor. He was personable, listened, truly cared and went far and above in many of his decisions and actions. I felt assured by his medical understanding and communication skill. Keep up the good work Dr. Pena. The world needs more like you.

I am a 67 year old and was taken to Shasta Regional ER suffering from profusing uterine bleeding after having had surgery 4 days prior. Dr Pena came to see me 3 hours after my admission to ER. I lay there bleeding for 3 hours before he came to see me. He walked into my room and sat on a chair, his legs and arms crossed. He did not bother to verify at how much I bled or as much as a glance at the blood clots my wonderful nurse had put aside for Dr Pena to see. Dr Pena joked about how I should have taken a picture of those clots ?! He striked me as someone who does not care whether his patients live or die . I felt lonely and scared for 3 hours. Thank God for Nicky the nurse and a male trainee at the time

THIS DOCTOR DOES NOT TREAT YOU FOR PAIN OR CHRONIC DISEASES. HE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE A DRUG ADDICT AND A PILL SEEKER AND HE WILL PUT IT ON YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS. HE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE LIEING AND WILL TREAT YOU ACCORDING TO HIS JUDGMENT AND NOT THE TRUE FACTS OR THE RESULTS OF EX RAYS AND LAB WORK. HE ALSO TELLS THE STAFF TO IGNORE YOUR CONDITION AS WELL, HE IS A LIVING NIGHTMARE AND YOU WILL REGRETE EVERY ENCOUNTER WITH THIS MONSTER. I WOULDN'T TAKE MY DOG TO SEE HIM IF SHE WERE DYING. HE DOESN'T DESERVE 1 STAR BUT THAT'S THE LOWEST ALLOWED.
