When I initially saw Dr. Keney, he seemed engaged and collaborative in doctor-patient communication and decision-making. However, after several visits, I began to notice a trend of rushing through appointments, not listening, brushing off questions and concerns, and basically suggesting that my other doctors may not know what's best for me. I appreciate the fact that he seems in touch with new medical data, but I also trust my other doctors and believe in "tried & true" treatments as well. I don't want to be pigeon-holed into a certain predetermined treatment because that's what the newest literature says...for now. The office manager also failed to follow through with corrections to my EMR, which we discussed at length before I joined their practice. Actually, they still don't have an accurate medication list in my EMR after 3 years. If I can't trust them to get my medical conditions and medication list right, how can I trust them in an emergency situation like hospitalization,… emergency, or just continuity of care? Note: I have been in the medical field for 30 years.

Dr Keney became my doctor 2 years ago and he has made me so much better. I was very obese when I first went to see him and he was very real with me-I needed to lose weight, I needed to change my diet and I needed to exercise. The compassion with which he told me to do so but also with the directness finally got me on the path and I've lost almost 70 pounds. He always is giving me great advice about my blood pressure, etc. too. He's the first doctor to actually tell me how it is and not sugar coat. You will feel better.

Dr. Keney was referred by a specialist as a primary care physician in order to oversee my mother's complicated condition, back in 2013. Throughout a number of hospital stays/rehabilitation programs, his practice excels in following up and coordinating between parties for the patient's health. He is sensitive to the patient's concerns and personal preferences, while being informative and a problem-solver for consequent issues. In my opinion (and observation), Dr. Keney is most valuable for his ability to illustrate internal medicine.

He is very easy to talk to and he spends as much time as needed and he listens to you. He also explains things to you and makes sure you understand what is going on. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a primary care doctor.
