Dr. Logan Anthony Rose, MD

Most compassionate doctor I have ever seen.

Dr. Rose has been my internist for 17 years. I live in NY 6 months of the year and LA 6 months. I always have Dr. Rose do my annual physical. He is extremely thorough, and was the first doctor to discover that I had leukemia. Other doctors had diagnosed my fatigue and elevated WBC as a mild infection. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Rose for catching the leukemia early enough to get treatment and survive.

A few years ago I made an appointment regarding severe pain in my neck and upper back. I was handed off to Dr. Rose, probably because he has no regular patients. He behaved as though I'd ruined his day the moment he walked into the room. I began to explain the reason for my visit and he barked at me to answer specific questions. I was so stunned all I could do was look at him in confusion. In hindsight I should have stood up and told him what a raging SOB he was, and walked out. Unbelievable surly attitude and undeserved king-size ego. Stay away from this man.

I visited Dr. Rose for a refill of a mild sleeping prescription that I received from another doctor at the MPTF Toluca Lake Health Center. The moment he walked into the room, I could sense some sort of attitude from him. I've been an RN for many years and am now an NP resident, so I have enough of a medical background to say the following. His physical exam was awful - the worst I've ever seen. I recently finished my third physical assessment course, and he would have failed it. Since he didn't know my background and because I am a cash patient, he was, in my opinion, trying to put on a show for me, acting as if he were doing an assessment. He kind of listened to 2 of the 4 heart valves, kind of listened to the lung fields in two spots only. He kind of pressed on my abdomen looking for an enlarged liver or spleen, but he wasn't really doing it, and he did it all wrong. This took all of about 2 minutes. Then he took my history, which went something like this: He said "you… don't want to take sleeping pills. Why can't you just sleep?" I told him if he could tell me that, I'd be very happy. Then he said he doesn't refill other doctors' prescriptions and doesn't write sleeping medications at all. I told him that he had known the reason for my visit well in advance, and should have told me this up front before I had paid. He proceeded to argue with me in the hallway in front of staff. I could not believe how unprofessional and unpleasant he was. Long story short. I would steer clear of Dr. rose.

I've never been that thrilled with the Toluca Lake Health Center, and this doctor is THE worst I've ever dealt with. I knew there were going to be issues when he came in..he was "closed up"...wasnt making eye contact, unfriendly..and proceeded to shut me down several times until I was only responding to exactly what he was asking even if the questions needed more elaboration. He didnt want to hear anything from me at all. Nothing. I tried to start explaining something to him and he told me enough, he didn't need to hear anymore. I was then concerned that his report on my issue would not be accurate because of his lack of concern or wanting any details at all. Because of how I was forced to speak to him there was no way I could be through and complete. Sure enough when I had seen what he had typed up as my complaint it was wrong. I just had to laugh about it, I had truly hit rock bottom when he stepped into the room..certainly it can only be up from here.
