Dr. Loi Myong Chang-Stroman, MD

I am writing for my brother as he is unable to leave a review because he is deceased. Under this doctor’s care he was misdiagnosed and although, after well over a year he did not improve, there was no attempt to find the cause. I strongly feel he would still be alive today had he had better medical care. He should have sought a second opinion but he trusted his doctor. Sadly a lethal mistake.

Had a minor issue while on vacation and he was very friendly and got me out of the clinic and back to my vacation quickly.

Dr McElroy is an excellent physician, but the admin, led by Dr Stroman is insultingly poor. Does not meet Medicare or AMA guidelines and practices for privacy and security. Sad.

I am a retired physician with a complex medical history. I have seen many Dr's over the years. Hands down, Dr. Chang-Stroman is one the best in every regard. He is thorough, compassionate, and really listens to his patients. He is truly a gem among physicians and the Big island is lucky to have him.

Oh! he was great at explaining things to my husband, when I was having a difficult time having him beleive in doctors again, he has had a few bad experiences, and really appreicate this doc for explaining things in ley mans terms, and helping my husband, when I was having a difficult time getting him well. Mahalo plenty Doc we would drive to the moon to get your help!! Right on man!!

I have been seeing Dr. Chang-Stroman off and on for a few years. To me he is a gods gift. He helped me when no one else would and made sure i continued to get the help i needed. He is a honest,forthright and compassionate doctor.

I first saw Dr. Loi when I was injured on the job and I had no primary care physician in Kona yet. He quickly and accurately diagnosed my injury, prescribed accordingly and since he has remained my doctor. Since, he has been my primary physician and I trust in his knowledge and feedback each and everytime I return.

This man had an overall rude, curt manner. Halfway through my visit he suddenly stood up, telling me he would not be treating me for my staph infection because we had philosophical differences. Told me he didn't deal with problems and I was a problem. He seemed to be reacting this way because I told him I'd been trying to help heal the staph using herbal remedies and dietary changes. Without allowing me to ask any of the questions I had or even explain that the reason I was there was clearly to seek a professional opinion, regardless of any philosophical differences, he left the room and told me I had to leave. He then blacklisted me from the urgent care facility, preventing me from being able to see any of the other doctors there. Completely unprofessional and rude, should not be a doctor. I have never encountered anything like this. Maybe he's fine for a twisted ankle or a something, but don't go to this guy if you have any questions or opinions or want to have any say in what… type of treatment you receive.
