Yearly check up and things were fine so no need for any proposed treatment discussions. Even though I go for yearly check-ups the Doctor remembers things we discussed the year before so it is obvious that he makes good notes and reviews my chart before my appointment.

Doctor was very nice, explained what needed to be done & answered my questions. The LPN put on the monitor & explained what that was going to do& what I needed to do. She was extremely nice, patient & answered my questions.

I suffered a cardiac arrest in the Ephrata Hospital ICU. Dr Gowda just happened to be in the ICU and took charge of the code. After getting my heart beating again he placed a temporary pacemaker. That was two years ago. The fact that I am alive and able to write this review is a testament to his skill. I understand that Dr Gowda is no longer connected with WellSpan. Wherever he is, he has my gratitude and best wishes.

Those who wrote the negative comments toward Dr. Gowda are ignorant about the field of cardiology and totally wrong in their assessments. I've been a patient of his for many years. He has always been respectful, pleasant, a good listener, and fully informed of any tests I had prior to my visit with suggestions appropriate for changes and/or recommendations that would further enhance my health. Over the years, the changes he made have been spot on and made a tremendous difference in my well-being. Dr. Gowda stays up-to-date on new techniques, innovative equipment, procedures and medications that work to save more lives.

Never again. Bedside manner not great.
