Dr. Lon J Lutz, MD

I visited Dr. Lutz for a back injury. Without an examination he recommended an epidural steroid shot that did nothing to help my back. This doctor is in it for the money. Would not recommend.

Dr Lutz is very efficient and treatment is fast and accurate. I saw him for Medial Branch Blocks in preparation for RF treatment on my back and I was impressed with his knowledge and patience.

He is a wonderful, talented doctor.....IF he had a partner, I would still wait for Dr. Lutz. He has been kind, funny and to the point.....He does 30 or so of these injections a day...he has never rushed me, or anyone that I have seen or sent to him....That does on occasion make him late....I will wait for him....The shots make my pain disappear and stay manageable for months at a time......NOW recently I have been really unhappy with his staff......NO return phone calls for DAYS.....poor info when they do call, and the latest woman I have been subjected to is AWFUL......I will advise him of the downward trend in my next appointment....Otherwise I would give him 10 stars if the review would let me...

Have seen this doctor and will have a 2nd procedure done by him. Working in a busy medical facility it is hard for doctors to always have time for the patient, so they leave it up to the nurses. Only problem is he can not help with insurance to get the procedures done that you need so it takes a long time to get everything done while you are in horrible pain. He also does not have partners to give you any pain medication if he is not around. And after the radiofrequency you need pain medication for at least 4 weeks after. I don't like the down town office, to hard for parking just to run up to the office to pick things up. Takes a while for office staff to call you back. But the ultimate result was wonderful on my left side, now I just need to get the right side done. I have low pain tolerance and the 4-6 weeks hurts after they do the radiofrequency.

I questioned why this doctor has no partners when he leaves on vacation and has no one to back him up if a patient has problems. I feel a little like cows being led into procedures as fast as he can get them through. He has no scheduling line to make an appointment with him you have to go through and leave messages with people and never get a call back. Looking for another doctor because I need someone I can count on 24/7 if I am having problems.

Attitude was, "I'm the doctor, why are you asking questions?"

He knows what he is doing. Explains how this will help and for how long. Is helpful & knows what is best for the next time to keep me as pain free as possible.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I found the experience wonderful. Dr. Lutz was direct in explaining what was and wasn't feasible for treatment and why. As for insurance, he directed me to his staff who helped me understand what my insurance would and wouldn't cover. My doctor referred me to him and I understand why. When/if my pain comes back, I will go back to see him again.

Do not trust this doctor, he is deceiful, lying, and cares less about patients, and cares more about the money he can get from you; read all the reviews. You'll get the idea! Do not see him ever!
