Dr. Loren Forrest Hiratzka, MD

my husband had surgery last year and has made a full recovery! dr.hiratzka was an awesome doctor, he always explained everything to us, and even drew us pictures. i would give him 4 stars, he us worth the wait!

My husband has had the health misfortune to need Dr. Hiratzka twice, once for an Aortic Valve replacement (2005) & most recently for Aortic dissection (2009). No one wants to go through those things, but if you are in this situation, you can't do any better than Dr. Hiratzka. He has a wonderful, assuring bedside manner. He tells you exactly what situation you're in & what needs to be done. He never "talks down" to you. He answers all your questions throughly and unlike so many Doctors who have a "God" complex has no problem with you getting a second opinion. I hope that we don't ever need a Thoracic Surgeon again, but if so, we will not hesitate to use Dr. Hiratzka again.
