Dr. Loren James Smith, MD

was in the ER with a 7mm kidney stone last week. Sent home with no instructions, no review of restrictions and no pain or antispasmodic medication. 3 days later I'm back in the ER. I had called this doctor's office in tears that morning and finally the nurse said they would send antispasmodic meds in for me. They didn't show up so I head to the ER. The hospital wanted to keep me for pain management and observation but the urologist didn't do they gave me antibiotics, a pain shot and sent me home. Just got the prescription today, a day and a half later. I'm supposed to have another surgery with this man in a few weeks. I'm terrified about this happening again. I have to find someone else who will have a plan and see me as a person with children and a business to run who also feels pain.

One of the worst bed side manners i have seen. I'm a nurse so that's saying a lot. My daughter was very sick from an infection due to a kidney stone and he was more focused on his ego when we brought up concerns about her care. His physical body language and his words said, 'I don't care about your concerns and I'm right no matter what'. Suffixes it to say, he wouldn't be allowed to treat my pet fish, let alone my daughter. I understand ex military doctors and he is not this way because of that.

Just discharged from Stormont following emergency surgery for kidney stones. Dr. Smith was my surgeon. He was thorough, clear, not distracted, helpful, and experienced. Took time to answer all of our questions on several occasions. Very caring individual. Highly recommend him.

they actually lost ..or misplaced my test results. And then claimed I had not had the tests. Stay away from this clinic.

Dr. Smith offered NO solutions for my husband. When no easy answers were available he simply stopped trying. There were multiple problems with communication from his office. His medical judgment was poor. And he was very insensitive toward my husband and me. He mishandled my husband's case at every turn. Please find another practitioner if you can.

I see Dr Smith a year ago and thought he new what he was doing. Went to see him today for a prescription refill and he said he had never gave me a script I told him that he did and he just kept saying he didn't and he doesn't treat at thoughs levels after I told him I still have the bottle with his name on it he finally found it on his computer. So to some it up he did everything but call me a lier and after the confirmation he didn't even ask me how I was doing or if I was having any problem just told me to get a blood test in two weeks and then make another appointment. I'm confused on how he can be so different a year later.

Dr. Smith is a Really Great Doctor, He and his staff are so awesome, They treat you like family.
