Dr. Lorena Jaramillo, MD

My gynecologist was out and I was scheduled with Jaramillo. She is so disrespectful and condescending. I was 28 weeks pregnant and she literally told me and my husband that I shouldn’t be “carb loading” as she made a hand motion over her stomach. The stupidity was beyond! I’m pregnant not fat! Then she proceeded to say she didn’t know if my baby was okay as she was only checking for “fetal movement”. I seriously don’t understand how she is still in practice.

Her heart is not in the patient care. I thought at first that it was the pandemic. Then I thought it was just me. Now I know it’s her. Dr. Jaramillo is a box checker and robotic. She rushes, does not review medical history, nor provide timely information. She did not provide my results as she said she would. I was so nervous and afraid. When I asked for results on my condition she did not give me a clear answer nor tell me the test result. I pulled my own medical records to find the results. I agree with the other patient. I am working on a formal complaint. I am so saddened that I trusted her with my care and now I see my medical record of what she ignored.

Lorena was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. I filed a complaint with Kaiser because it was so awful but they dismissed my complaint saying “she was doing her job.” There is a way to do a job and being disrespectful and unprofessional is not the way to go about but it would appear Kaiser does not care. Save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and find a different doctor. Especially if you respect yourself and value your spouses involvement throughout your pregnancy.
