Dr. Ana Lorena Lewy-Alterbaum, MD

The office does not answer the phone. Dr. Lewy-Alterbaum will not see you, just the nurse practitioners. None of them physically assess you, just weigh you and take vitals. They do not update their patient files/documentation so everything they have on you is inaccurate. Dr. Lewy-Alterbaum has no bedside manner. She is very rude, unprofessional, and unempathetic. She will use your need for prescriptions to get you into the office and hold them hostage until she gets her copay and insurance payment. All she cares about is money, not your well-being. She will violate your patient's right to dignity. STAY FAR AWAY.

She has been my Endo for over 20 years I m a terrible patient but she is a caring doctor. She is knowledgeable on all new treatments and she keeps me up to date on what is going on in the diabetes world. Her staff is there to answer questions. When they are busy it may take a little while for them to return a phone call but they always do

This place is completely unprofessional and lacks any organization whatsoever. A simple blood test and following biopsy has taken over several months and still has not occurred due to clerical errors from the front desk and office managers. I am a patient of thyroid nodules with hyperthyroidism. This was my first doctor visit which has 15 minutes PA-C check and 2 minutes Dr. Lewy check only. Then I was told to do a series of blood test, thyroid ultrasound and thyroid nodules biopsy before next appointment. The first time they completely neglected to mention that there is a 2-week limitation from when the blood test is done to when the biopsy needs to occur. The second time they messed up their bookings and could not schedule a biopsy after the blood was tested. And now for a third time, they did not properly place order for the bloodwork which already scheduled. Besides, the office manager did not contact my insurance company for biopsy test approval. So far I still don’t… know if the insurance will cover my biopsy test. I get that once is a mistake and mistakes happen, but for the staff here to mess up three times in a row, this shows gross incompetence. The PA I've interacted with was professional and I will give full marks to, but the office manager needs to be properly trained and treat their job more seriously. I have cancelled a series tests that I have already reserved. I will find another endocrinologist to re-examine whatever this doctor clinic will never come back again.

The doctor and staff were very pleasant, professional and caring. Answered all my questions and did not make me feel rushed. I walked out knowing I had found the right doctor for me.

You see the assistant and barely see her , even if she's right there I assume her practice is more a side job as she's also works in a hospital

Excellent customer services the staff were attentive. The doctor was very knowledge and caring willing to get me back on the right track.

I love my doctor! I've been going to her for years. I find her very caring. I have nodules on my thyroid and she monitors that routinely. she also diagnosed me with type II diabetes when no other doctor that I had been going to did.

The most unprofessional office I have ever encountered. I see a lot of Doctors and I have never had such aggravation in my life than with this Dr's office. They made numerous mistakes. I called to make an appointment the put me on hold for 15 minutes I finally hung up. Do your self a favor DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. So sorry I did. If I would have read the reviews 2.5 stars now I know why.

I was only by NP every time bc all I needed was to monitor my thyroid levels during pregnancy after my ob gyn decided to increase my dosage without checking my thyroid levels. So every time I went they will charge a copay of 25 although I know that for follow up there should me no charge. Last time they charged me $50 and they also send me a bill of $25 after I reported them to my insurance.

The doctor is caring and she spends time with her patients. Her staff are well trained and respond to the needs of the patients.
