Dr. Lorenzo Davide Botto, MD

My daughter was referred to Dr Botto because of blood work done on her first child in 2011. It had show a carnitine deficiency which needed to be evaluated. After seeing Dr Botto both mother and son were placed on supplemental carnitine and re-evaluated within months to monitor results. My grandson was taken off however it was determined that my daughter was the deficient one and needed to remain on the supplement. She has since had her second child and last summer, on the recommendation of Dr Botto, had a skin biopsy to determine (???????, not sure what ) and has still not been given the results! After repeated calls she has given up but, I, her Mom, continue to inquire for the results. The reason for my concern??? Aparently this is an inherited issue that we were unaware of and which I would like to have our other children and grandchildren be assessed for. Please, Dr Botto, return our calls!

Dr. Botto is thorough, knows his field, and has a lovely manner with both parent and child. He called personally to deliver/discuss test results. Breath of fresh air. Highly recommend.

We see Dr. Botto on a regular basis with my child's illness. He is a brilliant physician who will call us with lab results and email us to keep us "in the loop". When we have to go to other specialists Dr. Botto makes sure the other doctors understand my child's needs and limitations. Our family highly recommends Dr. Botto.

Dr. Botto is a brilliant physician as well as a caring pediatric doctor. Highly recommend him!
