Dr. Lori A Picco, MD

If I could give Dr. Picco zero stars I would. I booked the first appt of the day (8am), arrived 15 minutes early, and completed all pre registration ahead of time. She arrived at 8:45, and when I asked about the hold up she said she over slept!!! She then tried to place the blame on me, saying patients are late all the time and she never complains. She then completed my exam in 3 minutes (I counted) and did not ask me anything about my personal health, prescription, etc. The fact that this woman is a licensed medical professional is absolutely ridiculous. Capital Women's Care should be ashamed to be associated with someone who is so unprofessional and treats her patients so poorly.

My regular doctor, who I adore is Dr. Kari Schichor, was unavailable for an emergency appointment. As a result, I asked the reservationist which doctor had an immediate availability at Capital Women's Care - Dr. Lori Picco was recommended as she had immediate availability; that should've been a red flag for me. When I went to visit Dr. Picco and shared my concerns with her, she was dismissive, cold and unfriendly; she simply didn't listen to me - a patient who knows their body. Not only did she come off as uncaring, but there wasn't any follow-up. ZERO follow-up. She's unresponsive, hard to get in contact with and failed to write-up an order. I had to take off work and physically go to the Capital Women's Care to request an order from another doctor. Thankfully, that doctor explained my results and made a recommendation to follow-up with a specialist. As a result of my horrible patient experience with her, I decided to leave this women's care facility and immediately got my… files transferred to another doctor/practice where I will continue my follow-up. This is the second to worst care I've ever received from a doctor, and I'm surprised she's still in practice. I wished I researched her before confirming an appointment with her. I also wish I could give her zero stars.

I love Dr Lori Picco, she is a wonderful Physician with an open mind and very understanding and caring. I highly recommend her.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Picco. Like many of the other reviewers mentioned, she is rude, condescending, unhelpful and always rushed me out of her office. The last time I went in, I was confirming my pregnancy and I was, but she didn't even tell me for certian just launched into how she doesn't handle obstetrics and I would be handed over to someone else in the practice that did. Do not go to her, she is wholly unpleasant.
