Dr. Lori Beth Schaen, MD

Please read her reviews carefully. When I visited her, she took about 15 minutes to screen my skin and when I asked about hair and skin care, I have been told to schedule 2 other appointments for each individual topic because it is too much for one visit!!! I have been charged $90 for nothing!! I found another good and famous dermatologist in Cincinnati and she spent about an hour to go through everything and charged me just $75. Unfortunately, it is true that Dr. Schaen cares just about money....

Dr. Lori was very patient and caring for me. She took her time and explained all the issue I had and what needed to be done. She came up with a treatment and I plan to go forward with it. Dr. Lori is my Doctor and I am very happy & confident with her.

My husband saw Dr. Schaen and said she was "ok." Upon leaving and paying his bill, he was asked if he wanted to schedule appt for following year. He declined. An appointment was scheduled for him anyway for the following year of which he had no knowledge. The date came and went, no reminder phone call or notice received so imagine our surprise when he received a bill for 50.00 for a no show appointment. He called and was told date was written on bottom of his receipt, he was a no show, and he had to pay. No thanks to this practice, you're not the only game in town. The dermatologists we see now have a pleasant staff and a professionally run office. Night and day!

We have been patients of Dr Schaen for many years but I have been very disappointed since her practice became part of a multistate practice. Evidently all of the other Drs left & now it is down to Dr Schaen & her nurse practitioner. The wait for an appointment with Dr Schaen is several months. It seems all calls now go to a call center rather than to the local office. I tried to schedule an urgent visit for my son, I was OK with seeing the nurse but not OK with paying the higher rate for a new rather than existing patient. They changed, we didn't, why should I pay for that? I had been in the end of last year & had requested a referral, I was advised the coordinator would call me but never did even after I followed up. I have always been pleased with Dr Schaen, even driving over 20 miles to see her but the new practice makes me feel like a number, not a valued patient.

What she did worked ... what more can one say? She's also a very pleasant person. The staff is super as well - friendly & efficient.

I am not yet sure about the accurate diagnosis but the visit was great.

I have visited the office three time and thus, far have never seen Dr. Schaen. I hope she is as awesome as her reputation, but some patients will never know. I do plan to find a different Dermatologist as I haven't seen the awesome service and great results I have read about. Thank you for my annual mole check though.

Being in the medical industry, I am very particular about the doctors I choose to use. Dr. Schaen is absolutely wonderful. She is very thorough, knowledgeable and kind. She took time to answer all my questions and concerns. Her staff is very friendly as well! I will be referring her to my friends and family.

Dr. Schaen is the best dermatologist I have ever seen. I wish I had found her 15+ years ago. I would have saved so much time and frustration. I was referred to Dr. Schaen and made the 1 1/2 hour drive because she was honestly my last resort. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly staff who took me straight back to my room. Dr. Schaen came in she spent a lot of time explaining my condition, the treatment options and realistic expectations. I left there with the biggest smile on my face. For the first time in my life I felt like there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Schaen (and her P.A. Juliena Gigon) has been a Godsend to me. My skin has improved dramatically and I couldn't be happier.

Dr Schaen is the best Dermatologist I have ever been to and I've been to plenty. She took the time to figure out my problem. Created a treatment plan and it worked. She is highly professional, her services are priced fairly and her staff is great. If you are looking for a Dermatologist who will fix your skin problem and not just prescribe a bunch of pills...go see Dr Schaen. Plus her practice carries a great line of skin products that you can purchase right on site.
