Dr. Lori Gail Schwam, MD

I have seen Dr Schwam for almost 3 years and she truly cares about her patients. She is very kind hearted and treats her patients wonderfully.

I have been one of her patients since I was a child. I am now an adult and instead of moving me to another psychiatrist she kept me as her patient. I suffered from an autimmune disorder as well as depression and ADHD since I was a young child. I went to several child physiatrist before her that made no break throughs. When I went to her she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and really showed me that she cared and would do anything in her power to make things better. When I was small she let me speak on my own terms and when I was ready to without being pushy. She listened to a child which so so many physiatrists have a preconceived notion of what a child is going through. She listened, she helped and found what works best for me. She helped me become a high functioning adult, who made it through college, got married, and now has a family of my own all because she listened with an unbiased opinion and was not afraid to change things like medications to find the perfect… balance for me. She is extremely reliable. She is one of the only Doctors I genuinely trust.

Dr. Schwam is the worst psychiatrist we have ever dealt with. She absolutely would not listen. She misdiagnosed my child. She has a 5 minute time limit, you get in and she kicks you out no matter what. The medicines she put my child on altered her personality so bad she was actually billing my ins for autism when she did not have it. Once she changed doctors and meds she's a different child. She also sent a very ugly letter when we left saying we had 30 days in which we could contact her and then she would have nothing to do with the patient. Her mother is the receptionist and she's a nightmare. She does not wait for you to ask for a day/time, she writes something down hands it to you and you have to insist that it wont work. A very nasty piece of work. Like mother like daughter.
