Dr. Lori Lynn Wilson, MD

Dr Wilson is very compassionate and has won many awards for her care. She not only provides cancer surgery At Howard but also free care for underserved people in the community and at least two times per year in Africa. She saved my moms life who was suffering from colon cancer. She is awesome.

Thank you for caring for my mother. Dr Wilson was great at listening to our needs and she involved us in every part of the plan. It was a great experience.

This was really the worse experience I had with this doctor appointment. I found Dr. Wilson on my Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO - Anthem website as an in-network doctor and called her office in HU Healthcare (Howard University Hospital) to get an appointment. I passed all my insurance info to the receptionist and confirmed with her that they accept my insurance and she said YES. Today I drove 1:45 min from Maryland all the way to DC and once they got my insurance card the receptionist said SORRY we are not accepting Anthem BCBS!!!!! WOW such a wise and knowledgable receptionist that after one week by having all my insurance information just found out they are not working with Anthem BCBS PPO?! I even called my insurance in front of her to double-check and make sure my insurance accept Dr. Wilson as an in-network doctor and my insurance was agreed and talked to the receptionist but for some reason which none of us could understand she denied that Dr. Wilson accepts BCBS Anthem PPO. I… totally waste of my time for 3 hours drive, lost my work hours and ruined my whole day just because of one non-well-trained receptionist. Except for the receptionist, no one cared I have that issue in there and just with the word of SORRY tried to clean their mess ?! I reviewed Dr. Wilson reviews and searched about her so she must be a great doctor but so sorry for her by having such a weak staff that represent her bad between people. I recommend people double-check their information with receptionist 100 times (she even put all my other info mostly wrong in my paper once I checked in) to make sure they are not hitting to the same problem I in front with today :| SOOOOO BAD XXXXX

Dr Wilson has an exceptional bedside manner. She is very caring and saved my father’s life.

Dr Wilson really answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with the treatment. She is really awesome

Dr. Wilson is an excellent surgeon. She is very detailed and organized. I like the board in her office that she uses to explain surgery.
