Dr. Lori Ann Youngman, OD

After seven years of bringing my family to Harbor Eye, and always being met with professionalism and courtesy, I was deeply disappointed and upset by the treatment I received during my most recent visit on July 3rd. When I came in to pick up a pair of contact lenses, I encountered Dr. Youngman for the first time. Her demeanor was unexpectedly rude and condescending. As a 55-year-old woman and an educator, I would expect that kind of tone from a disengaged student in a senior English class—not from a fellow professional. I had to cancel and reschedule my appointment for August due to my teaching commitments at a local college, and instead of being met with understanding, I was spoken down to in a manner that was both uncalled for and frankly, unacceptable. I left the office feeling taken aback and disrespected. I’m surprised that this type of behavior is tolerated in a professional healthcare setting. Given this experience, I no longer feel comfortable entrusting the care of myself or… my teenagers to your office. My family and I are changing doctors and offices
