Dr. Loriana Maria Cirlig, MD

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a young female that she had issues with me since I’m only 24 years old. Which makes you wonder why would a 24 year old female waste her time writing a review? Let me tell you.. The way Dr. Cirlig made me feel was so uncomfortable. She immediately recognized me from my previous visit in the express care a couple days prior. Not sure why she caught an attitude, when I’m the one feeling ill.... she was not kind at all. Very cold. When I thanked her for taking the time out her day to help me she responded “it’s my job” when I gave my reasoning to her questions she was snappy and made quick judgments that felt like a jab at my weight/ looks I quote “you don’t look like you need any help with gaining weight” okay understandable but is it your job to be condescending and rude as well? When I spoke up to her and told her I felt as if she was not taking me serious and disregarding how I feel and my condition. She again mentioned how I have no conditions although… my endocrine doctor has said otherwise to me personally in person. It was overall a very weird experience I understand with covid going on stress is high but her attitude, eye rolling at me, and trying to make my health issues smaller and unimportant was completely unprofessional for a doctor. Maybe to you my problems are small Dr. Cirlig but to me it is my life. When I come into the emergency room I don’t expect to be treated like I’m a bother for wanting to help my health... I wish you guys could understand the condescending feeling I felt. After I spoke up and she left the room she didn’t even check on me or return back at all, THANKFULLY her bad attitude and eye rolling stayed away while the amazing nurses on staff did everything, but sadly she only came back in my room to turn off the beeping noise to the iv pump for half a second. Never in my life have I had a doctor roll her eyes at me and sound irritated for helping someone who’s sick and begging for help.. & I’ve had doctors who don’t even say more than 10 words that still are kind. I gave her fair because “it’s her job” and I guess she “did her job” so kudos to you dr cirlig I hope you know how uncomfortable and sad and insecure you made me feel with your tone of voice and attitude because you know exactly how cold you were, it doesn’t take much to be a kind heart when people are suffering. For me I probably have to see dr cirlig again if I’m ever admitted into er/express care and who knows how she’ll treat me then, hopefully it was just a bad week for her and not a reflection of her whole attitude. But I want her to know how exactly she made a patient feel and to maybe keep her personal attitude at home instead of bringing it to argue with patients at work.

The most appallingly fatphobic doctor I’ve ever been to. For background, I’m 5’5 ~200 pounds. I have a very curvy body type with a small waist circumference, which newer studies has shown is way more indicative of potential for disease than BMI. I came in with real problems to discuss, and she spent our entire time (that I paid for) berating me for my weight. Nothing was accomplished; I was just bullied for twenty minutes. When I tried to stick up for myself and remind her that I eat very well and train hard 5-6 days a week, she literally interrupted me to tell me I was so fat that going to the gym doesn’t even matter and I must be lying about my diet. What kind of doctor says that? She’s also very defensive on Yelp/ZocDoc which is why I think more people aren’t speaking up about her.

Dr, Cirlig is a rare commodity in today's world of medical care. She is always welcoming, patient, GREAT listener and gives one a very comforting diagnosis. I am so very glad that I switch her her after I was going to a doctor for 30+ years. That says a TON for Dr. Cirlig. Thank you for your services and your office staff as well.

Dr. Cirlig is an amazing physician. She is the best I have known both as her patient as well working with her in my role as an RN. She moved out of state or I would continue to see her. It was a great loss. I recommend her highly
