Best doc ever

Ms Freitas truly needs to take a course in Dr/patient privacy, as well as anger management... My husband and I are Medicare patients and both the Freitas' are listed as taking and accepting new patients on both the hospitals site, as well as Medicare insurance sites.... I called the office and made appts for both of us a month in advance, giving all insurance info, as well as names, phone numbers, emails, etc. so they would have a way to contact us if needed.... 5 days before the visit, my husband got the confirmation email, as well as a link to have us fill out all the pre registration paperwork... we arrived 30 mins in advance, turned in the new patient paperwork and waited.... 42 mins more passed and we were called into the office by the very pleasant and professional NP Michael, who promptly took all our vitals and confirmed our med lists... He was interuptted be an extremely agitated Ms Freitas, who was apparently our PCP instead of her husband, Dr Paul Freitas.... she started… off the visit with.... I don't know why you are even here as I am absolutely NOT accepting new patients... she then placed the blame on her $11 an HR scheduling team who she said had no idea what they are doing and we're creating havoc for everyone... which is blatantly wrong, in my opinion... they work very hard and in a freindly as well as professional manner.... Ms Freitas went on saying she wished the hospital admin was there to see what was going on.... all this time the door was left open for everyone in the offices to see and hear this agitated woman.... we had been allotted 30 mins time each, but Ms Freitas said we had 15 mins each to tell her meds we wanted refilled and that we needed to cancel the appts and go see another doctor on a different floor.... She then lead us out to the exit door waving appointment papers at her desk staff telling them to just cancel their visits and take care of this..... 2 other new, nonMEDICARE patients were accepted in and established before us which leads me to believe that Ms Freitas is NOT a Medicare freindly care giver..... I suggest Medicare patients find someone else if your health and privacy are valued.... she places blame on others that work extremely hard for their income.... nothing about this visit was handled in a caring and professional manner....
