Dr. Lorissa Segal, MD

I was visiting from Ohio last week hiking in the Quichee Gorge with my five sons (all much younger and nimbler than me). While doing something I shouldn't have been doing in the first place, I fell and cut my finger pretty good. Lots of blood and I knew I was going to need stitches. It was 3:00 PM on a Friday afternoon. My oldest son called Ottauquechee Heath Center in Woodstock and they agreed to see me at 4:00. I showed up promptly at 4:00 and they took me right in. The LPN was terrific. Friendly and likable. Dr. Segal came in and she was great. She examined my wound carefully. It was only 4 or 5 stiches, but she gave it her utmost professional attention and care.The procedure was near painless; her administration of the anesthetic could not have been better. At one point there were three people (Dr. Segal, the LPN, and a PA) bandaging my wound. They stayed much longer than necessary and way after 5:00 PM on a Friday afternoon to take care of me when I am sure they all had… other plans. Needless to say, the wound has healed perfectly. I cannot comment on Dr. Segal as an Internist, but I can say that there is no doubt in my mind that such a caring and attentive physician is the kind of doctor we all hope to have and the professional staff at Ottauquechee Heath Center is terrific.

She is very good, I always feel atease with her.
