Dr. Lorraine Linda Anderson, MD

First, I want to say that I have read all of the comments about her bedside manner. She doesn't have one. She isn't capable. She has Aspergers. During our visit, she clearly remembered to stop what she was doing and look at me and give a brief mechanical smile. That is Aspergers. There are many brilliant people, including doctors, that have this condition. My issue is that I was sending her to try to get to the bottom of something, and she completely misdiagnosed me and wanted to put me on a medicine I don't need. I feel that she is the person you go to for allergy desensitization, so that you don't have to worry about misdiagnoses or anything that is more critical. I am rating her one star, because in my case, she was more dangerous to me than helpful to me. Needless to say, I am not going to take the medication I don't need, and will not see her again.

DR. Lorraine Anderson is the worst doctor I have ever seen at UCLA and anywhere in the world. She is rude, condescending and has no empathy for patients. 1. She has no bedside manners and is robotic. She does not know how talk to patients. Tells patients to be quite and listen to her. Had her back to me during the entire visit and kept typing and staring on her computer screen with pre-written diagnosis without asking me anything. Asking the patient for symptoms is apparently secondary. 2. Administered a breathing test without determining the cause nor telling me it was going to cost me over $200 for breathing into a handheld equipment. 3. Recommended allergy test without explaining the cost and stuck me with over $1000 bill. 4. During the testing I complained of tingling sensation and she refused to listen to my complaint and carried on with the test and since then has refused to hear anything about symptoms because tingling was not her problem nor her specialty of… medicine and I should visit my primary doctor. Please avoid Dr. Anderson, she is only there to write prescriptions and make money by prescribing unnecessary procedures. There had been no response from UCLA medical or her office regarding billing and fees that I am stuck with not the tingling that continues.

Poor experience with Dr. Anderson. I decided to give her the chance even after hearing other patients recommendation to stay clear. Dr. Anderson didn't know this, but my sister who is a Dr. was with me the day of my appointment. All I can say, she was very unprofessional and did not give accurate answers.

Late without apologising. Do not see her. There’s a reason she had availability quickly-she doesn’t know how to interact with patients, displays no empathy and only likes to recite facts repeatedly.

Dr. Anderson is efficient, personable, knowledgeable and I highly recommend her.

I was specifically referred to Dr. Anderson by my beloved primary care physician, Dr. Canale, with whom I innately trust. Dr. Anderson cares about people first. She was kind, empathetic, and truly listened to the prior challenges and frustrations that I'd had with my current medical condition. She walked me through all of my options and explained her plan for care by educating me about her approach to care. I could not recommend Dr. Anderson more! She is absolutely incredible, and though allergies are not my favorite, I would take any excuse to see Dr. Anderson and her incredibly kind staff again soon. Dr. Anderson is one of the BEST doctors in town.

Dr Anderson is fantastic. She never makes me feel like she is rushed, and she always takes the time to walk me through everything thoroughly, and makes sure to answer any questions I have until I completely understand. You can tell she really cares about her patients.

I have to agree with the other reviewer. I waited MONTHS to get seen (not her fault) so I took whatever Dr. I could get. She was condescending if I used incorrect terms (allergy vs intolerance) rather than approaching it from a place of education. I left the office with zero resolution or care plan and feel pretty hopeless with my allergies, or whatever she wants to call them.

If you’ve waited to see this doctor for treatment, look elsewhere! Only interested in money, expensive tests, and telling you how great she is and how lucky you are to see her. Never makes eye contact. Ask questionnaire form questions on the computer and demeans you if you don’t understand her line of questioning. Worst doctor I’ve ever seen and I see about 3-5 physicians a month. Absolutely no people skills.
