Dr. Lorraine Carole King, MD

I went to see Dr. King on a co-worker’s recommendation when I had unexplained pain. She made me wait for HOURS every single visit (I took off work for this). She let her dog walk around on the floor in the exam room while I was on the table. She never explained the pain, but changed the subject to justify a slew of tests, making me come in over and over again- I later found out they were unnecessary. She told me I was probably infertile and I started bawling because I had a strong desire to have children. I was pregnant within 2 weeks- no problem. When I called to tell her I was pregnant, the first words out of her mouth were “Do you want to keep it?” Years later it’s still traumatic. I’ve had zero problems conceiving. Then I found out the EXACT SAME thing happened to a friend of mine. My friend guessed that Dr. King was probably doing an endocrine study and was making up reasons to take blood samples. I don’t know what was going through Dr. King’s mind, but I turned around… and went to a Birth Center and never looked back. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible it all was.

I came in as a new patient a few months back and was not greeted by the front desk clerk. I went to check and see if they had a sign in sheet, and was quickly shooed away by the woman working the front deck. I felt not welcomed and as if I was a burden to her. I waited over an hour to see Dr. King when I finally was called back... She is a GREAT, THOROUGH, SMART, doctor. Sad to say I wont be returning due do the lack of respect coming from the front desk.

Dr. King is an outstanding physician. She is very knowledgeable about all medical issues and is open to all types of treatment- traditional and alternative. She is always thorough and takes time with each patient. The only problem is that one member of her staff is unpleasant and makes things difficult for patients. Other than that, i highly recommend Dr. King.

I am so glad to be in Dr. King's care. She saw me right away, (even though I was unknown to her) diagnosed, tested, evaluated, explained and treated me with intelligence, respect and caring. She is very open to alternative therapies, but does not push them on her patients. She is a fantastic, both as a doctor and person.

Dr. King has helped change my life. She is totally dedicated to her patients' well being and good health.
