Dr. Stanco I really hope you receive this msg. 21 years ago tomorrow a young 19yr old female had an early pregnancy which resulted in an emergency C-section. You brought my only son in this world named Marcus White II @ Mary Birch on Sept 24, 2000 with that premiee weighting 1 pound and a half. Tomorrow he will be 21 and is such a great person. He plays college football @ Santa Ana college now and none of this would be my reality without you. Thank you so much for performing a successful C-section and thank you for not judging me being so young with none of my family around. Thank you ma'am, and God bless you

I read some of the reviews of Dr Stanco and felt compelled to write this. As newcomers to the US, we were understandably nervous about finding a doctor. Though I can understand why some people may find Dr Stanco to have a no-nonsense approach, we found her to be extremely diligent and well-informed with a pleasing bedside manner. Before the birth of our first child (25 Oct 2003!), my wife had an issue with her amniotic fluid, which Dr Stanco skilfully helped us manage/manoeuvre. We returned to her for our second child (born 17 May 2005, exactly 16 years ago!) and found her to be equally diligent. I would recommend her highly to anyone!

I had a great experience with Dr Stanco. She was knowledgeable, kind and efficient. I felt very safe with her taking care of my unborn baby!

If I could give Dr. Stanco "minus stars" I would!!! She should NOT be handling high risk patients as she tremendously lacks the patience and demeanor that a high risk doctor should exude. I was given a 1/18 chance of my first baby having down syndrome and unfortunately I also received "no results" on 2 NIPT tests due to low fetal fraction. Dr. Stanco did not discuss the possibilities with me regarding what the results could mean. She simply walked in and harshly stated with a sickening smile upon her face "I KNOW your amnio is going to come back POSITIVE for downs"!! She also stated BECAUSE I had an anterior placenta, an amnio DOUBLED my risk for miscarriage. Needless to say, I left her office in shock and in tears. It was ALSO the LAST TIME I stepped back into her office. I was more willing to have my amnio performed by a doctor I had NEVER met than to have to be in her presence for another second. I had the amnio performed by Dr. Titf who was very sensitive to our situation and… she informed me that my anterior placenta did NOT put me at any higher risk for miscarriage. She performed the amnio effortlessly. ALL OF MY RESULTS CAME BACK 100% CLEAR!!! I am having a PERFECTLY HEALTHY baby boy!!! Dr. Stanco enjoys playing the role of God.... and in the process adds a ton of additional stress onto an already very difficult situation. Please seek ANY other avenue besides Dr. Stanco as I hope this review and the countless others help another desperate high risk patient avoid additional worry and stress. She was a HUGE BLACK CLOUD over what should be a joyous time in our lives. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Worst doctor in history. Never in my 29 years of life have I been so disgusted with this so called "doctor" This "woman" is a horrible person inside and out. She yelled at me yesterday and got smart with me. Here is my Facebook review. I had to edit out some words. But you get the jist. First off, the nurse who brought us into the room pronounced my sisters name wrong (we were here for her last ultra sound) so I corrected her so my sister wouldn't get mad. Se had no smile on her face, didn't say anything to us but the room number, didn't even show us where it was. I figured no big deal maybe she is having a bad day. Didn't bother mentioning it to my sister. Then the ultra sound tech came in. No smile, no greeting just sat down with a mean look on her face said she was going to look at the baby's growth. Ok cool. Then she's looking around and doing things on the machine. clicking here clicking there.. then I started to notice she wasn't saying anything to us. Wasn't telling us… what's what on the monitor. I eventually asked her was that the hearts telling her it was my first ultra sound and how much I love biology and wanted to learn what she's showing us. She continues taking pictures or so we thought. She still wasn't telling us what we were looking at. I started to wonder if she wasn't going to tell us anything at all. She got done and said doctor would be in soon. I then asked my sister "isn't she supposed to tell you what you're looking at?" She replied "I think so but she should have when you told her you wanted to know." Then as the tech rushed out of the door she popped back into hand my sister 1 picture and said. "Oh here you go." So she only got one pic. My sister didn't even know she was preggo until 6 months and this was the only other ultra sound she has had. So we started talking about why she didn't print out more pics and give us more information on what she was doing. My sister said she was rude and she could tell as soon as she walked in the door she wasn't going to like her. I mentioned how she and the nurse who had brought her in both looked like they not like their job and I made a comment about how could someone possibly dislike this job when they get to look at babies in the womb all day. My sister and I talked about this for a few more mins and I told her I was going to ask the doctor why was she not informative and if we can please get some more pictures because this doesn't seem right. So we sat and waited for a few more mins my sister getting more and more aggravated about the lady acting the way she did. I told her not to worry that I would ask because this isn't right she she be getting at least more pictures if anything. Then, "doctor" Lorraine M. Stanco walks in the door says hello and starts looking down at her files. I started to ask her if it was possible that after she spoke to my sister could I ask her some questions. I literally got 2 words out of my mouth b4 this rude and disgustingly behaved woman cut me off and told me to stop because she is talking to her patient which is what her job is and not to talk to me. She told me I am not important and that the only person she needs to talk to is her patient. She hadn't even started talking to my sister yet. By this time It took me a lot not to get up. Who exactly does she think she is? I was only asking her a question. She was done with my sister and I angrily told her I did not appreciate her tone and her cutting me off when she didn't even let me finish. She told me she was there to talk to the patient not me. I asked her for her supervisors name and information she replied that it was her practice and that she's the boss. I told her she needed to not cut people off and actually listen to them. She told me it was her practice and if I didn't like it I could leave. I told her well you are rude and ignorant. She says "We're done here". turns to my sister says good luck. I told my sister grab your stuff we're going and you are never coming back to this ignorant woman as we walked out of the door so she could hear me. She ran to the other room. Literally ran. Good because I would have cussed her out at that point. My point here is that this so called "Doctor" is a disgustingly behaved woman who has terrible bedside manner and does not listen to people. I simply was asking her if I may ask her some questions when she was done and she didn't even let me finish. Her entire staff was rude and incompetent. The only person who gave us a smile was the nice lady at the front check in desk. DO NOT GO TO HER!!! SHE IS MEAN AND NASTY!! LOOK AT OTHER REVIEWS BELOW. I am reporting her to molina, sharp and the AMA

Rushed and overlooks pertinent details leading to bad outcomes. Dismissive of responsibility.

I first started seeing Dr. Stanco in 2011 when I w8as pregnant with my last son. She seemed very professional and personable up until the last month or two of my pregnancy. She started to get very callous and acted like she was annoyed with my questions. I was also turned away during my pregnancy once when I was sick with a head cold, again when I had an ear infection, then once more when I asked for advice about an absessed tooth(I was concerned about medications I could take). I was told that she didn't deal with ANYTHING other than just the pregnancy. I personally felt neglected, but I didn't have a whole lot of choice to find a new high risk ob, as I was further along in my pregnancy. I also told her that I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid at the beginning of my 7th month and was dismissed. I was told that it was "Normal". When I came back again a month later, I was told that my amniotic fluid levels were low and they delivered the baby the next day. My son was born with… three holes in his heart, that may or may not have been related to that or the medication I was put on during my pregnancy that I did NOT want to take. I also ended up getting a tubal ligation done during my c-section. Here I am a year and a half later, and I am experiencing extreme pain every month during my period (They almost feel like sciatic nerve attacks where my fallopian tubes should be), night sweats, sometimes I have periods that won't stop until I get medication for it, depression, anxiety, sudden bouts of crying, large blood clots during menstruation, and the list just keeps going. Turns out I have what is called Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. Not ONCE was I ever told about the risks for getting a tubal aside from the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. Now I will be paying for this, for the rest of my life. My experiences with Dr. Stanco have negatively effected the rest of my life and possibly my child's.

I had a great experience with Dr. Stanco. I felt that she was very professional and knew what she was talking about. I trusted her very much. I was late a lot of the time and she was very nice about it and still worked me into getting an ultrasound done even though the tech wasnt very friendly. My labor was great, and the hospital was clean and cared about how i felt during labor. I had one nurse that wasnt very nice to me after my son was born, and Dr. Stanco was very displease and said that she didnt allow her patients to be treated in that way and she would take care of it. I really felt that she cared about me, and came in to check on me and the baby and said that i did a great job during labor. If I could have her again I would in a heart beat. I am very thankful to have had such a wonderful doctor and fantastic nurse May at her office. They both helped me with any questions or concerns that I had and put up with my daily phone calls haha. I felt all they cared was billing my insurance for what they could the told me my NT ultrasound was abnormal my baby could have Down Syndrome pushed me to get the Amnio done to see if I wanted to terminate the baby. She had no consideration for my feelings. After seeing several other Dr.'s they all stated it was to soon to say any of that. Sure enough once I denied the Amnio and said I was going to keep the baby no matter what the second ultrasound came back fine and she did not need to see me anymore. Please do not support this practice and see another specialist!!!!

My husband and I felt like we were at a used car sales lot, but we were at a doctor's office. We were referred to this office by our OBGYN because of early tests indicating we had an increased chance of having a baby with Down Syndrome. The geneticist counseled us on whether to proceed with an amnio for down syndrome (we were ok with that). When we expressed reluctance to move forward with the Amnio, she began talking to us about the many other conditions Amnio could detect and began to put fear into us about all the other possibilities. That's when she crossed the line. It was ok to inform us, but not to play into our fears or make us more scared about things we were not at high risk for. My husband and I felt that these folks really wanted us to have an Amnio to make money. We were disgusted and would never recommend anybody to them!
