Dr. Lorre Ann Ochs, MD

I was sent to Dr. Ochs after blood work came back with an elevated Lymphocyte count and all over diagnosis had been checked. I was in an extreme state of panick thinking I have cancer. She walked in and said," I don't think you have cancer(luekemia) I treat people with Luekemia and their lymphocytosis is way higher than yours." The tone of her voice and disapproving look said it all. I was not going to get good medical care from this woman. I proceeded to ask her questions on how she could be for sure when she decided not to do any testing or follow ups with me. She then looks at me ignoring my question and asked me about my history of addiction (which is apparently in my medical chart) As if this has anything to do with how she should treat me as a patient! She told me I should not be on Methadone. I told her it has helped me stay sober and that is the important thing. I then tried to steer the conversation back to why I was there in the first place (my abnormal bloodwork) at which… point she says there is nothing more I can do for you! I have never felt so pushed aside and shunned by another medical professional in mylife. Here I am worried about cancer and she isn't even addressing it she is using my time to shun me about addiction. Lacks compassion and bedside manner. Because ofhtis horrible experience I have been unwilling and fearful to go to anyother dr's to figure out why my blood shows lymphocytosis inevitably making whatever is going on worse... So thank you Dr. Ochs...for nothing.
