Dr. Louis Vincent Antignano, MD

I've been sick for 10 years and going to doctors constantly. He started off by rolling his eyes when I told him I was really sick and he replied "well sick how?". I undressed for the examination and after shouting in pain THREE times and him continuing the exam without stopping, he told me to "get dressed" and slammed the door. After listening to me for all of 5 minutes(ive been ill for 10 YEARS and have 10 years of history), he wanted to put me back on a medication that I already told him made me sick. I left crying, shaking, and in pain- which was completely exacerbated by his examination- after yelling at him and filing a report with the office. I also heard he was discussing the situation with people at the front desk. Very unprofessional. I will only be seeing female providers from now on. Many of these MDs(especially older males from my experience) are so out of touch, and lack any empathy or understanding for their patients whatsoever.

Excellent care. New and innovative treatments for Crohn's Disease. Extremely knowledgeable with treatment and long term care of Crohn's Disease patient. Would like to see him back to Wilson area. We need more doctors in this area with his work ethic. He finds no problem caring for his patients on a personal level, yet remain professional.

Hands Down, the best gastroenterologist I have seen. He is Top Notch.

Exceptional Doctor! Knowledge in his field of medicine supersedes the average. Does not set his watch to meet his needs but rather to meet your needs. Will miss him greatly!

Dr, Antignano gotta give him an a plus if he was late for your appt he may have been up all night with another person that needed him more at that moment.He may have just gotten done at the hospital and was a bit late. Dr.Antignano is not a mamby pamby kind of person if he tells you what to do for your betterment and you do not wish to follow it he may not want you for a patient.Alot of people may need him that will listen and he has no time for people who dont.Bedside manner. He was my Dr. and i woke to find this overworked person resting in a chair in my hospital room in the middle of the night,because i almost died,he was there to make sure i did not.He is human with a job to do and he does it well.Your appt.is not all the man has to do.He goes from emergencys in the hospital right to his office to do his job there. Oh yes shower shave eat food gotta give him time for that.oh back for rounds,pretty busy and cares alot for his patients but has not got time to send you a get well… card.

Dr. Antignano may be a good doctor but his bedside manner leaves much to be desired. I found him to be arrogant, abrupt & rude. I will no longer use him & have transferred my records to another gastroenterologist. Let me add however that his office staff is wonderful.
