I would not recommend this ??? to anyone. Has terrible bed side manners, misdiagnosed my sister for years, .made an incorrect diagnosis of the illness from which she is suffering from. He would not listen to what she was saying and how she felt, begged him to run test on her, he refused, she would tell him and her would prescribe her any medication to get her to leave. She would have to wait to see him for hours, 2+ hours and your she would be in pain and he would tell her its all in her head. No its not in my sisters head. Her health is failing. She would walk out of his office in tears, he had her believing it was her fault. She is now seeing another doctor and they have ran many test on her. She has medicaid and thought she could not see another doctor, thank goodness for some good people they suggested another doctor to her that accepts medicade. I wished I didn't have to click any stars, he failed my sister. I pray for her health to get better.

Very nice doctor. I believe he is used to being extremely conservative in diagnosis/ treatment because he has mostly medicaid patients. That is not an excuse, just reality. It was like pulling teeth to get him to follow up, refer me to a specialist. His staff is really clueless and just messed up my referrals and appointments for diagnostic tests more than an acceptable amount. I do not recommend unless you don't have a choice. They will try to fit you in if you have an urgent need... if you persist.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. Not only are the wait times awful, and I do mean awful, this doctor is awful too. He rushes you, acts like he's ignoring your description of symptoms and has done nothing to try to help me find relief for my severe back pain, fibromyalgia and arthritis. I DO NOT recommend this doctor. If you have your choice of doctors, which I don't because of Medicaid, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I don't see how this man is even a doctor! I have had 2 severe reactions to 2 different medicines he put me on and instead of him trying another medicine, he told me and I quote, "I think you are having anxiety over taking medicine, therefore, you are making yourself believe you are having reactions when really you're not" What the??? He then said, you may want to find another primary doctor who knows how to treat you. Never had I had a doctor act this way. I will be finding a new primary doctor if there is one available.

I have been seeing Dr. Louis Berec for about three years now and I have been very pleased with him. However, I find things he orders like appointments with specialist do not g e t taken care of promptly. If you need something serious taken care of you may have to take initiative and make the appts. Yourself like I usually do. But a better DOCTOR you will NOT find.
