Dr. Louis Patrick Browne, MD

At our first appt meeting one another, Dr. Browne said, "multitude of issues, huh?" And then upon looking at my file stated, "bipolar depression, this real?" When I asked him to rephrase as that is hurtful and disrespectful, he scoffed. I asked if he would question whether a diabetic patient "really" had diabetes? Dr. Browne then walked out of the appointment and told me to schedule with someone else. The licensure board should examine his ability to safely work with patients. This is inexcusable, horrific bedside manner. He may have good intentions but words matter, bedside manner matters ESPECIALLY when working with mental health. Shame on you, Dr. Browne. Whitley, the attending nurse to my appointment, was phenomenal. I am filing official complaints with the state and his individual practices.

Dr. Browne is an excellent doctor. He is very competent as a physician, as well as a warm and caring person. He is careful to follow up on any condition that may have to be referred elsewhere for further treatment. In the tradition of the old "family doctor", he treats the whole person, not just the illness.

Very personable, listened to me. This is the third doctor I've changed in 6 months because I didn't feel comfortable with the other doctors. Dr. Browne put me at ease, really listened and treated me with courtesy. He was very knowledgable and spoke to me in terms that I could understand.
