Dr. Cotterell was raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his Medical Degree from Creighton University in 1984 and went on to complete his internship and residency there as well. Dr. Cotterell then completed his fellowship in Clinical Nephrology and Hypertension at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1990, where he also completed a one-year fellowship in Transplantation Medicine. Dr. Cotterell lives locally with his wife and four children. He coaches soccer and enjoys the outdoors.

Dr. COTTERELL is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. Peacehealth Medical center made a terrible mistake by losing this Doctor. I truly miss. Dr. COTTERELL LARRY P. GEIGER LONGVIEW, WA

My husband was getting dialysis he went into the hospital and was told by the lab for four days that his platlet count was critical and so was Dr. Chen notified. They did nothing. he died of shock

I have know Dr Cotterell since my first transplant...It was very hard changing doctors. But moving made it easier. I still wish he was my physcian as I trusted him implicitly and that is not something i do easily. I am in a very successful career now and will always be grateful for his care early in my transplant history. Thank you Dr Cotterell. Suzanne.. my last labs were perfect including my BUN! Not is over 20+ years!!
